I suppose your new so won't understand how annoying this thread is. Use the search function, and you will find about 1000 threads of a similar nature, then read the thread about debating, and you will realise that this is not going to end with an answer, just a bunch of self appointed know it alls, babbling on about with tiny minor spelling mistake means their view point is garbage.
Most Christians I know take a soft approach to evolution, either glossing over it/not enquiring too deep as to that specific topic in the relevant context in the bible or believe that the relevant sections in the bible are a more generalised version of events that are merely lacking in detail as to the specifics of the mechanics i.e. the days of creation not being literal 24 hour days.
Seems to be a fairly small but quite vocal minority that have a hard anti-evolution stance.
Personally its not something I've spent too much time thinking about.
I'm telling you guys, we evolved from plants.
Some posters will have definitely come via that route.
As above. I once dated someone who came from a practicing Christian family, and they believed in a version of evolution and believed that most of the bible is non-literal.
One side of my family are practising Christians of varying degrees from those who believe faith is a personal thing and keep it to themselves (but otherwise have a normal life) through to those basically in a cult who aren't even allowed to socialise with family that aren't in the same church (exclusive brethren) - my gran literally all she gets to see of her siblings/cousins is from a distance with a minder and all they can do basically is wave hello/goodbye.
Not only do we come from apes. We are apes.
You might as well ask if we're animals or not.
I thought Darwin said we came from the same descendants as apes, they went one way and we went another.

Science is true whether or not you believe in it.
