Hey folks!
So I'm a regular contributor to reddit/r/buildapc (like here but much more manic and filled with yanks
) and something that has reached the 'hot' page caught my attention as it is extremely useful so, naturally, I thought I'd share it with you lot.
reddit.com/user/OrionFOTL has created a website with lists of power supply OEMs and what platforms they are built on! Finally, someone did it! I think this will come in handy because, let's be honest here, the vast majority of us don't really know a massive amount about what's inside all PSUs currently on the market. I'll link to the reddit post here http://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/2c2lak/discussion_power_supply_platform_database_is/ instead of the website because the original host of the website is totally pants so OrionFOTL has linked a couple of mirrors that other people have kindly agreed to host.
Obviously, this being a recent creation, it doesn't have a massive amount in the way of coverage - only 3 PSU brands are up there but, hey, one of them is Corsair and we all know how many false rumours there are about their PSUs
Anyways, I hope you all find this useful and I really hope this isn't against forum rules :/ I did check but couldn't find anything that stated that users can't post stuff like this.
