Well it had better be staggeringly good to justify twice the price of the Sigma. It'll be an improvement but I doubt that much of an improvement.
Sigma have stepped up their game and Canon are going to have trouble justifying some of their prices I feel.
Well I'd guess that CPS would be a major factor in pro's buying the Canon lenses over the Sigma's regarding of how they perform
). Personally I think they'll make it so it's evenly better across the range as the Sigma, water sealed and that'll be about it. I doubt Canon will bring out USB docks (although it would be a great idea) so the winning part will be as mentioned, the pros will stick to Canon to get the CPS.
