Man some of you guys need to lighten up!

GD is a place of fun and internet memes will always have a place on forums as it's where they all started.

Forums without memes is like Oreo's without the cream in the middle... dry and boring!

..but a little bit healthier for you?

:D

I love a good oreo.

I think people have misunderstood my point.

Its not "Memes" in general that are the annoyance, its the over used phrases, more specifically when used completely out of context that get me.

Like I said, its probably a non-issue. I was wondering if anyone else seemed bothered by it but apparently not.

I guess this topic has run its course. Mods can lock if they want this discussion is going no where.

How is increasing the quality of GD forum discussion by bringing in a few rules that outlaw these constant stupid comments that are posted in every single thread, Nazi moderation? Do you not find it tedious sifting through the constant barrage of childish comments just to be able to find a post that might have some information relevant to the original post and discussion?

As many here say, if you're not interested in contributing to the original topic, don't post anything at all. The constant stream of silly comments brings absolutely nothing to the discussions. In fact they actually ruin them in most instances. I've been a member here for a while now and I'm just getting tired of the over-use of these comments. It might have been funny at one time, but it is so, so old now.

In answer to whether it bothers me or not, no it doesn't.

Every forum has its in jokes, quips and catch phrases, some may be overused, they die out naturally over time.

Worry and complain about things that actually matter, don't engage in threads you do not find entertaining etc etc.

In all seriousness this is how it started last time, first the memes, then it was something else, then it was something else, first enforced by suspensions, then bans, and the OCUK forum earned a pretty bad reputation for its over the top moderation.

I say pretty bad, it had a terrible reputation.

I dont want to see it that way again.
