A45 AMG Test Drive - First Impressions

The spoiler is a tad too OTT for me. I prefer them a touch more subtle.

Yes Guys I did, here she is

She had just been detailed with CQuartz Paint Protection plus other bits.

And a few out an about before I fit edition one centre wheel caps

with centre caps

currently running 360BHP but ive found that RENNTech Germany have found standard cars are pushing anywhere from 363 to 390 BHP stock, they dynod a lot when developing there piggyback box.

The tuning box is in the post to me which will take it to 420BHP and 3.7 to 60, 1/4 mile 12.1.

Revo stage 1 Golf R had a run in with 1 but lost by 1 car length, but take into account Golf is over 100KG lighter and revo brings 380BHP its about right....

I played with a New Focus ST with some ***** scrotes in, as I past him you go see him go for it, but he had nothing to give, I got so far in fron I pulled in and turned off...

You've gone for a very loud look.... You're going to continue to get a lot of attention on the roads lol.

What's the interior and rear space like?

Boot manages to get shopping in for 4 people, ive had 3 16 year olds in the back, its SNUG a lot snugger than my e350 was.... but generally I only have me wife and 6 year old or just me....

Its pretty much the same as M135 Golf etc. think its bigger for legroom than most.

took kids to zoo and got 37mpg total round trip 140 miles used 1/4 tank. Tanks 56L I think dricing like my dad you could get 400 to a tank, im doing 300 at the mo, which is good for such a car

As for the look yes I thought well its AMG so why not, only part of the car that's unique to the A45 is the wing, but it also add to it holding its residual.
get lots of positive comments people flash me. I even got a puncture fixed for free at Kwikfit, as they asked me if they could hoist her up to look underneath :)

ahh yes I remember when I looked I wanted Xdrive 235i but was also told the same, I wondered if they had eventually brought it here. Is it coming ?

Been looking at the Golf R for the wife, but I would deffo get yours if Xdrive was around....

As far as I know not coming at all, but to be fair the grip in this thing is immense, I wouldn't want to be driving far in it if it was snowing but for day to day usage and the way it delivers the power, even in the rain it feels nothing short of sure footed at all times.

Looked at the golf r...it was ok but I paid about the same for mine as they wanted for the golf, and mine is much higher spec'd

Got a link to that?

I always find it interesting that something constructed to very small tolerances and managed by an ECU controlling dozens of sensors to perfectly optimise timing, fuel injection, emissions etc. can have variations in output of 10%.

I also found that on my TD on the M135 very sticky, Michelins I think it had. I live pretty rural so I need that 4WD thing for bad weather.

Yeah I was leaning towards S3 TBH due to better spec to ££££ but one last call to MERC sealed the A45

Glad Audi guy didn't pick up phone now....
