LG Flatron 29UM65-P 29" WideScreen or AOC Q2963PM 29" Professional Super-Wide

I'd personally go for the lg (and I did) as there was a lot of people who were recommending it on here, and also the fact that you won't be able to remove the stand of the aoc (due to the connections being in the stand)

Both monitors are £259.99.

Now if the only difference is the connections/stand.

I would have to say that the extra years warranty on the AOC, has to swing it.

There will be differences in colours/calibration out of the box, input lag/responsiveness and other wee differences like the OSD control etc.

I went with the LG for these reasons:

- better OSD control/layout
- better stand for me (AOC stand makes the screen sit too far forward) and what KiiYzOo said
- newer than the AOC (AOC was released in 2013 March where as the LG was released this year in January)

It's a shame they stopped the 29EB93 so early. Such a great monitor at everything and backlight bleed was virtually zero and it was better specced than the 29UM65.

I will find out tonight.

Can you tell me how to test it. :)

Not had to do it for all most 3 years. lol

Just have a black background displayed. I use DPT to look for dead/stuck pixels and check back light bleed:

http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/Benchmarks/Dead-Pixel-Tester.shtml

Back light bleed = will appear even when looking head on at the area/corner
IPS glow = will disappear when you move your head around

We have a thread for this monitor too

Yeah I really wish I got that one instead, if DPD hadn't messed up my collection for the 2nd monitor, I would have had it instead but by the time ocuk got it back, it was out of stock :(
