*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

Does anyone use NowTV on their PS4? If so, in a nutshell, could you tell me what you get for the basic monthly fee.

Thanks.

Scuf dont fall into the category of modified controllers no, they are allowed in Pro gaming events and considered fair. There are no rapid fire mods or anything its just literally trigger stop and paddles on the back. There certainly not cheating, but they do give an advantage just like specific monitors, headsets, and fast internet speeds.

You can send in the controller and have custom thumbsticks put in for a couple of quid, im happy with the Xbone ones i put in myself though. Im pretty sure you would lose warranty with Sony if you went ahead though, but SharQ offer 90 day warranty.

You cant map the triggers as and when, because you solder the switches on the rear to the specific part on the board in the controller which activates the button you requested.

As i said before, its mainly if you play FPS such as COD in particular.

Hi

Just jumped onto the ps4 bandwagon :D bought a refurbished one for £269 + last of us + the 365 p+ sub total £330:)

Roll on wed/Thursday im off work :D

You've done exactly what I've been thinking of since someone here mentioned those refurbished units.

Would be interested to see what you think of it (and the game) when you get a chance. :)

Anyone playing Diablo 3? Tempted to get it for PS4 as I've not used it for ages. I have a mic now too so would be good to play co-op I think.

What do these triggers and paddles do?

You may be able to remap controls soon (on new ones):
COMPLETE FREEDOM ( COMING SOON )
ELECTRO MAGNETIC REMAPPING
Our new and innovative EMR (Electro-Magnetic Remapping) technology takes your gaming flexibility to the next level – this optional feature provides on-the-fly remapping capabilities for the paddles. Simply place your SCUF Mag (magnetic) Key onto the back of the controller and reprogram your paddles by simultaneously holding the face button / function and outside paddle you wish to remap. Never before has a SCUF® controller been so flexible and easy to remap, so you can play any game in a way that suits your play style!

What do these triggers and paddles do?

I'll answer for a third time :)

You have the paddles mapped to activate buttons of your choice, I like mine to activate X and O for jumping and dropping in FPS. You can't Change them as of yet as it's a solder job but Scuf are meant to be introducing something in the near future where you can change what buttons the paddles activate.

The trigger stops are basically nuts in the triggers to cut the dead zone out for shooting games.
