This is probably very noob of me, but I have been thinking it for a while. But all for being educated on the subject.

The whole flavour thing, and different tanks? How can different tanks affect flavour so much?

I get regulated devices, bringing consistency to the vaporizing.

I get different coil resistances, vaporizing liquid and different heats and time frames.

I get wicks, cotton/ silica affecting flavour subtlety.

I can’t get my head round just a container though? Surely if all the above remain constant, what you store it in shouldn’t affect the flavour? Let alone so much, as people claim.

I am not really in a position to be an ‘elitist’ and spend very good money on original KFL+ or Rose V2 or Sophia’s. But numerous times I have seen people say things along the lines of ‘ditched my KFL+ for a Rose V2 as the flavour is so much better!!’

Good point.

Where I can't really comment, I'd imagine a bit of placebo to take part to a certain extent. "I've just spent 130 beans on a rose V2, the flavour HAS TO BE better!!"

Don't forget about the PG/VG ratios, PG holds flavour better. I use 30pg/70vg as of late, and gave an 80/20 mix a go from tjuice on Sunday. The flavour was GLORIOUS compared to what I've been vaping, but the clouds were minimal :p

That was my thinking, mainly placebo.

I use a 70pg/30vg mix @ 14mg nic. Nice hit but might tone it down to 10mg or 12mg. Although the high PG does dry the throat out.

DO you DIY mix? I've found a good way to force myself to drop the nic has been to mix batches lowering the nicotine content slightly each time.

12mg > 10mg > 8mg > 6mg (curent) > next lot will be 4 and then down to 2. Will be a few months before that though, have got 250ml of various custards and 90ml of fruits to get through :p

Yea mix my own, still trying to nail the art though. Not as flavoursome as ones I buy. Think it is britannia the make from our local vape store. Lovely flavours.

Currently using Pink Spot Concentrates. They are ok, but I need more flavour (using 20% concentrate already)

What concentrates do you use?

The size of the chamber does effect draw / temp of vape. Different tanks do vape differently. The way air is drawn over the coil changes things a bit too. I'll agree it isn't really that much of a difference but you can notice it. A mix of placebo and not wanting your review to be 'just the same as everything else' like play the biggest role as has been said.

The construction of chambers can make a difference. Domed chambers in drippers for example. Also, the ceramic elements of some devices also affect flavour.

I started out on Kandi Hed as it was cheap, then eventually began using;

- Mt. Baker Vapor (US brand I beleive)
- T-Juice
- Chefs Vapour

Chefs own concentrates are fantastic, their mint choc vapetto and ABC have been puchased a few times :p

Just about to swap my recently purchased Vamo V5 with a mates brand new MVP 2.0 :)

Love the Vamo but find it FAR too big in 18650 mode, attracts so much attention it gets annoying.

Now I need to find some good e-liquid that comes pre-steeped, or is ready to vape out of the envelope.

Thanks man. The aerotank v2 coils get even better results from a rebuild... ill try to post another tute for those at some point this week.

What do you mean by v2 coils? I have the v2 aerotank but it uses protank 3 coils. Im actually using the upgraded coils with the hidden wick as I got 20 for 19 quid. They pretty good for ease of use but still.....

Those are the new version of the dual coils with the hidden wick, with the vertical slots on the sides of the chimney/coil base.

Cheers

Good man, there's two parts to this - a good vaping kit and some juice you like.

You have the good vaping kit now, just try and find a good flavour. Good luck.

Well done on no more cigs!

If your coil in the nautilus is around 1.5 ohms try vaping between 10 & 12 watts, the sweet spot for me was 11 watts on the mvp before I got a burnt taste.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

Cheers guys,

I now have a nice collection of juices now. 2x 10ml (18mg and 12mg) Blueberry, 10ml apple tart, 10 ml Peach and a 5ml Secret sauce from Scopes.

Got my 30ml GVC today too!.

Sadly I only have one Nautilus mini and the tank that comes with the MVP 2. I need more lol.
I know the liquids come pre-steeped but I have been shaking the Blueberry and leaving the lids off and man the taste is so much better off of the Blueberry.

My wife isn't digging it though. Perhaps its the fact she smokes low tar menthol but I am determined to convert her.

I think we all need more tanks too much juice out there to try :)

Toying with getting another Expromizer at present, nice rebuildable tank for the price, easy enough to coil & wick too.

Cheers

My local bricks & mortar store sell 3 10ml bottles for e-juice for £10 or £4.00 each, plus they currently offer a free bottle of juice if you spend £25.00 to using the Loyalblocks app on the iPhone ;)

Cheers

For those who got a Kato mod clone. I've just fitted a Authentic Sigelei Variable Wattage Kick from FT.
I unscrewed the spring at the bottom and used A 18490 imr battery and it's awesome :)
