*** The Official BlackBerry Z10 & Q10 Thread ***

10.3 leak is remarkably stable. Like, honestly. The only issues I have are the fact i can't type phone numbers on the home screen/menu without holding alt and have call come up, which makes sense as the passport does not have physical number keys. I have an occasional video orientation issue, but otherwise it is wonderful.

Passport will cost a bomb, all BBs do upfront and always have. 9900 was £500 up front, so was the Q10, and the passport is an even bigger deviation from the norm. My guess is £550 rrp.

It's worth updating. They have pretty much improved everything, even the text selection.

The only thing I'm noticing is the camera & phone shortcuts are a bit hit n miss.

What's new with the camera in 10.3? - Panoramic photos and 60FPS at 720p recording? Are these included?

LOL either you are telling lies or you just got unlucky with a duff unit. Ive had my z10 since launch and it hasnt skipped a beat although its a backup phone as i own the Z30 which is my daily driver but i still tinker around with the Z10.

Battery life on it is rubbish, id be lucky to get a day use out of it but other than the small battery in it...the phone and OS is one of the best ive ever used.

Ill be replacing my z30 with the passport, as much as i love the z30...i miss my keyboard and the passports keyboard looks innovative to say the least.

Just hope it wont cost a bomb off line as i buy my phones sim free. Still ill keep the z30 as my backup and probably give my z10 to my friend who's keen on having it.

10.3 looks like its a game changer, i was toying around with the idea of installing the latest 10.3 leak but decided not to as i need my phone to be stable so will wait for the official version.

Good engagement with facts. Accusing me of lying or saying it is a one off.

It is a known and common problem both in the organisation I work for and across its user base globally; go and google it. Maybe you have been lucky with your unit?

In have absolutely no idea why it happens but it is fairly catastrophic when it does. I am lucky in that if I am in the office, I can grab someone else's and do the batter flip trick which is to charge your battery in another z10 and run their battery in yours. Then swap the batteries back around and carry on charging.

I really quite like the software but the phone has borked itself over time and I will have to use it for at least another 2 years and resentment is building. I would like to try the z30 but the z10 is budget buggy hardware with promising software.

This really is the first time I gave heard about this, Snax. And I have been a lurker of the Crackberry forums for a few years now.

Such a shame that you are experiencing these problems as it's a great piece of hardware.

I was really wanting to go for the Classic but it looks exactly the same spec wise as the Z30 does.

Doesn't seem to be any sort of a spec bump. Also it is looking like the battery is now non-removable which would be a big disappointment for me.

I really don't think I would get on with the keyboard on the Passport nor the size of it.

Well I thought that too about the dimensions. I also thought that about the iPhone 6+ when it was announced. But I went to the Apple store the other day and the 6 didn't feel any bigger than my Z10 & the 6+ felt great in my hand.

No way is the Passport going to be a one handed device by any stretch of the imagination.
