Best case for Watercooling

yup i was hoping that they would include this new light bar on the DDR4 stuff but nope.

I will wait for the Crucial Tactical tracer DDR4 stuff. i just like the LED ram

yup, love em when benchmarking. mad fast.

shame nobody else does similar as the stock levels at crucial have always been dodgy when I've gone to buy them in the past.

over priced and badly made.

all looks good on the piccies etc but............. no

what really annoyed me is that the reviews of it are generally positive! clearly they don't have high expectations.

That bad?

In a 650d atm and while I do like it, it is a bit small for my needs now.

The build quality on it I can't fault, and I guess I just assumed (coupled with the reviews you mention) that the 900d would be the obvious choice for someone going straight into a water build at this price range.

rjkoneill mentions tj11 -also great rep, just out of price range BUT at a discount from usual price on OC atm. Would be more affordable than caselabs.

Anyone with recent experience wanna help out the OP?

Having just bought a 900d and it arrived today.
Am I shocked at the such bad quality no lol.
Its not quite that bad. only 2 negative points I would make. and 1 minor

The minor is putting cards in. yes corsiar do provide an angled screwdriver, but still apain in the ass lol, just glad I don't take cards out very often
No mid plate(but you can buy a cheap one. so that can be solved easily.

Now the worst part for me is the drive cadies omg they are bad.

Whilst trying to put x2 mechanical drives into 2 of them, the small pins just dropped out off at least 5 caddies . I found them but no idea how to fix them though. I ended up securing the drives with screws( no biggie really speaking, you don't change hds that much) once they was in the caddies in the case they was fine.

As for ugly, each to there own. yes it looks like a box but that doesn't bother me, not as if I stare at it for long periods of time.

For the price I think you get a lot of case, a very versatile case(especialy for water cooling) and remember to cram all what they did for the price, you can clearly see they saved the pennies via the drive cadies. I think you should be able to upgrade them.

After owning the following cases I think its the best(for water cooling)
corsair 900d (new)
corsair 800d (still got)
corsair 650d(still got)
cooler master haf x
cooler master Cosmos II Ultra (still got)
Silverstone Raven RV01B-W(still got)
NZXT Phantom Enthusiast
BitFenix Prodigy(still got)
And a ton of other cases.

But mine is my own opion and I think the money I spent on the 900d was well worth it.

I will say this though. if the caselabs had of been available in the ul and not such bother with import duty ect I would have gone with that.
Also remember most cases have problems even caselabs, caselabs for instance have a babbit of them not aligning properly, and you have to put the screws in at an angle then straighten them up, also another problem is the power button/usb headphone mic ect not aligning properly. people have had problems with the pedastalls not aligning properly also.
so like I said most cases have positive and negatives.
It is always worth researching cases looking them up on youtube lok for reviews, unboxes.

Just my opions

300-400£ is a budget for CaseLabs case.
M10 comes to mind as cheaper one or TH10A if the more expensive:

Or S8 with additional side rad mount and front rad mount, 1320 worth of rad.

What do you mean by problems with import duty?
Never had any problems with CL cases or accessories sent over from States.
I had at least 4 orders with them.
After you get your case, FedEx sends you the bill, you pay via bt and that's it...

Nuff said, you pay for the case, you then pay for the shipping and then.....import duty... so the total cost of the case is lol. no where near worth the amount it costs to import them.

As well as playing the shipping lottery, will it arrive in good condition, if not you may have to send it back, then wait again for a replacement, or part pay the shipping/import tax or what ever its called again.

Hense why I said shame no one in the uk does them.
Again just my opionion

You never ordered from CaseLabs before right?
It always arrives in perfect condition and if by any chance anything is missing or bent or scratched, send them an email with proof and they will send you that part for free.
Its this class of service.
Import tax, the one you pay to FedEx is usually around 30-40£.
Anyway, CL makes BEST watercooling cases.
Well worth the 2 weeks you have to wait for one.

If you still think it's not for you, just get any other case you like and install external MORA with 2 QDCs, so you can move the case if needed.

DataVampire, if you are going to put a rad in the roof for gods sake take the roof panel apart and remove the mesh material. it is so dense it totally restricts the airflow.

thanks I already know about that, I read a youtube review about it. was it easy to do im worried about the mesh(being so flimsy/thin)

really easy.

bend back the metal tabs (gently) around the edge and then the plastic insert can be removed. then just rip off the mesh. it should come right off in 4 strips.

bosh bosh air flow!

Hey thanks for that I did mine. easy lol.

Did you have any problems with the drive cadies ?

I cant no way no how put the tiny pin back in so they grab the drives. also one of the caides fron lever latch pin has come off, they are shockingly bad, but then they had to cut back on something. and that was it.

yeah the caddies are ****!

all 9 were broken or falling apart when the case was delivered. luckily I only needed 3 so I could salvage that from the wreckage. the pins just fall out so I Gorilla Glued em in place. super glue sets to quickly but the gorilla glue lets you get them in before it sets.
