Had more problems in just over a month of owning a PS4 than I had in 6 years of owning an Xbox

PSN has been down more times in the 9 months I've had my PS4 than XBL was down in the 7 years I've had my 360. Sony really need to get it sorted out seen as we effectively HAVE to pay for PSN now. They could sort of get away with it when it was free.

Just buy a PS4, they will switch in a year when it's (even more) apparent how much better the PS4 is in terms of grunt and titles.

Or he will most likely get a xboxone himself when he realises how much his friends are enjoying their xboxone's and the much superior xbox live service.

Xbox live is currently the only superior thing about it. I'd still prefer the PS4 for the superior hardware and (imo) games.

Completely agree, i never minded when i didnt pay but now you would think the money would be going towards a better more stable service with no maintenance down time etc

Got a family instead! I jest, I'm lucky to have many good friends but we're all in the early-mid 30's family creation game so we see very little of each other these days.
