**** Sony Xperia Z3 ****

It has more cons than pros even if you can see the difference

Is it really worth the
Cost
Battery life shortened
Potential issues with heat

Yup and unnecessary load on the SoC.

RGB Stripe at over 400ppi is simply more than enough for a super sharp screen experience.

I think it's backwards compared to the Z2. It's plastic. I mean, £550 on a PLASTIC phone?! Having said that, Sony's don't hold their money at all.

As above the Z3 Compact is all plastic frame but the full fat Z3 is aluminium but the corners have a nylon coating or cap to prevent damage when they land on the corners which more often or not tends to happen when you do drop a phone.

I do have a Z2 and while a very nice package I do think some elements aren't quite refined, think I'll hold on until I see one in the flesh before pulling the trigger.

All your usual places have it up for pre order including the rain forrest, one that sounds like a known butter brand and Sony direct.

I've got a 64gb iPhone and seriously considering a compact, the issue that has been raised is 16gb, is there no way you can install apps on a memory card instead? Also any software recommended to transfer whatsapp stuff/chats from ios to android?

The Compact will still have the same flawed camera as the Z1 Compact (slow and grainy, awful in low light), and still has no wireless charging. WHY U NO WIRELESS CHARGING SONY... WHY! Having to constantly open and close the flap to charge the phone is just irritating as hell.

Sony are getting very lazy, they come up with a design and then stagnate it, as opposed to Samsung and LG, who generally (but not always) bring something new to the table.

Why get a metal phone then put a cheap case on it? I'd rather take full advantage of the beautiful construction and have a few marks than put a horrible plastic case on it that ruins the feel of the phone.

Magnetic ports works flawlessly for me.

The camera has been changed to improve low light apparently.

The screen has new technology, it's own dedicated memory for the screen refresh rate, something along those lines. Resulting in better battery life.

Until 1440p consumes about the same power as a 1080p panel at the same size it not worth the extra drain IMO.

Samsung's designs have stagnated for ages now! The current Sony design came with the Xperia Z, which only came out Q1 last year so it's not exactly an ancient design philosophy.
