Forget 34UM95, here's 34UC97! (CURVED 34")

I would like to see more manufacturers make this monitor, then prices wouldn't be as high, probably around a 1k for each.
 
Wow I can't believe it's taken til 2014 for those sci-fi curves to appear LOL. I realise a lot of old curmudgeons ahem more experienced users don't see the point but I'd definitely give one a go (since I have mis-matched multi screens atm)... ;)

No VESA mount holes makes me sad though.

I wonder how curved displays will calibrate too, because it's curved you're going to get stray light entering the aperture chamber of a calibrator unless you calibrate in darkness.
 
I have not long had eyefinity, but I may downsize to one of these curved 34 inch screens.

I do love the wideness of eyefinity, but it is one less thing to cause hassle having just one screen.

Do like my triple u2414 setup though. The thin bezels help on that front.
 
The stand looks much nicer than the 34UM95! Does anyone have the expertise to comment on the bezel design? Does it look like there could be a similar design fault? It looks rather different.
 
I can see why a curved screen would be good for a TN panel due to viewing angle colour shifts.. but for anything else it seems more annoying than a flat screen
 
lol that image gibbo posted shows one of the issues with this 4K AOC very plainly :| dragging it around the screen the top right hand corner of the monitor in the image with the black to white transition goes absolutely mad :|
 
I'd like the Dell version but since they dont even have the normal flat version out probably be another 10 years before the curved one is out....yawn!
 
So any idea when/if OCUK will get one of this curved LG 34UC97 in stock? I was about to buy the 34UC95 but decided that the premium for a curved screen would be worth it.
 
It depends how much is the premium. I am willing to pay £700, but not £1000.

Considering that the AOC 34" it will be less than £600 (flat one).
