My Kayfun 3.1 clone arrived today, in a bit of bubblewrap with no accessories (no screwdriver, alan key, coil, wick or spare O-rings) does the job though, 1.1ohm vertical microcoil and it's slightly better than the nautilus.

Need to work out how to stop it dribbling liquid out of the airhole at every opportunity though.

Throw it in the bin and get a genuine one :p

You will love it :) for a RBA the airflow is fantastic, and I was suprised how much vapour the thing chucks out too, aint not stealth vaping going on with a fogger haha

For the guy with the dripping KayFun, can you put up a pick on how you have wicked it?

I find the best (And most simple way) is twist the cotton so it is snug (But not too tight) then fold it up and put the first chimney part on, then cut the cotton level with it, get a little screw driver and poke the cotton down each side, but the rest on and fill with the fill hole on the bottom, and leave about half a cm away from being fully full.

Really not bad for a clone, and even more so for only 25 quid delivered first class.

Will go with a 1 - 1.2 ohm build to start and take it from there. Looking forward to trying it out!

Nice, enjoy. :)

All he has to do is fill it from the top and at the same time put his finger over the air hole until it's put back together.

I've never done that, fill from the fill hole, at an angle, dont overfill, never leaks. Ever. Mind you all my KFL's are genuine ones :D

Filling from the top kills the vacuum, if anything that will increase your chances of it leaking.

Cuchulain: double check your O Rings, especially the little one in the top cap. :)

FWIW, my wicks look like this...

Once you filled it with your finger on the hole just turn it upside down then move your finger.

The 1:1 clones are just(if not better)then the original. Just waiting for someone to do a ROSE KIT: Stumpy and a Erlkönigin clone now.

I will buy a Cloupor Taotie Spring Loaded Pins RDA RBA when they are released.

It's wicked ok, not too much cotton. I put my finger over the airhole, screwed in the top cap until the washer caught and flipped it upside down. It doesn't leak if it's stood up or the airhole is facing upwards and that's fine if I'm in the house but it's useless for being out and about unless I'm constantly holding it like looking like a tool.

I've no idea which hole is the fill hole, there's a flat head screw one side of the airhole and an alan bolt the other (note, it's not a KFL, it's a 3.1 clone), nothing underneath it.

That isn't enough imo, not for thicker juices. I tried that and got loads of dry hits, after a read around that seems to be the best/most common way. 0 dry hits, loads of flavour etc.

E: Actually it might look too much because its Koh Gen Do, Rayons even worse. ;)

It will be used on either a Stingray X mech mod, Dna 30 box mod or a Cloupor T8.

Yes I like to chop and change a bit :)

My snake oil arrived this morning too!

Cheers all

I'd recommend 1ohm to start and then follow it up depending on how you feel with higher/lower builds, less/more cotton, less/more airflow etc. I only say that as it is ofcourse subjective on a person by person basis.

Glass or plastic tank?

Where did you buy it from ?

Cheers

It's a PMMA tank. From a chap on a local vaping page on facebook.

Got mine coming from fasttech only £18 and I've got 2 Orchids and spare tanks in the same parcel :)

I actually looked up the Orchid today and really like the look of it. Only thing I'm dubious about is airflow as I like a nice and airy vape. Have you used one before, how do they rate?

I have a 3.1 clone here and like V_R i always fill it from the bottom.
Turn the attie upside down, there are 3 holes, 2 are quite close together, one of these will be the air hole, the other will be the air control screw.
The furthest one will be the fill valve
Unscrew the alan bolt (mine is also an alan bolt)
and fill it slowly, i give the bottle a push, wait for some bubbles to rise in the bottle and squeeze the bottle again, it might take 5 squeezes to fill it.
If you fill it too fast it will flood.
Also dont over fill it, i have it tilted at a 45 degree angle, and as soon as the liquid gets near the top cap i stop.
Also make sure your coil is not too low or high to the deck, iirc my coil is about 3mm above the air hole.

And this is how i do my wick, i fan it out along the deck, but not blocking channel

I just bought the Kayfun 3.1 original today from my local vape shop for £29 and I am VERY happy with it. I know its not the best judge of it but I used the pre coiled silicon included just to fire it up and test it and I love it. Only used aerotank megas and protanks so far and I am over the moon. Filled from top and zero leakage. Gonna order myself another I think!

Mines pretty much wicked the same as yours. I'll give filling from the bottom a go.

I think my batteries are a bit duff though (2 purple Efests, claimed 35W but unsure if this is pulse of continuous), every coil I've tried from 0.4ohm up to 1.5ohm, single coil, twisted coil, various amounts of coinage and widths and gauges of Kanthal don't seem to produce enough vapour. Going to try a VTC5 if I can find a genuine one in stock anywhere.

It might not be the batteries, it could be volt drop thought the mod, what mod are you using? Tried cleaning the threads and switch? :)

I disassemble mine and put the whole thing into an ultrasonic cleaner now and again (yep switch and all) not only does it make the threads and switch really smooth, it cleans the thing too! :)

Obviously you can just give it a good wipe down with vaper towel and cotton buds too. Isopropyl alcohol is great too.

Looks like some form of stingray top-cap to me.

Yeah, could be the voltage drop of the mod. If it's a stingray X, have you tried in hybrid mode? If it's not, try getting your hands on a hybrid adaptor to try.
