BAD NEWS!

thing is for eg

ocuk has upped its stuff already but i looked at the cards from last week for eg

and other retailers haven't upped their prices.

i wonder how much old stock which was brought before this has been upped?

not going to name stores but many have various gpus well below yours from quick look.

On a side not, being Canadian but living in Scotland, it would be the best thing thats ever happened to the country. From the feeling I get I think they have had enough of that silver spooned **** down south, paying for their continual mistakes and using Scotland. I mean, Trident costs £500k a DAY to run and its Scotlands taxpayers that pay for that. Hopefully Salmond will use some of that saved money and open up an Elite computer store in Scotland ;)

Completely ignoring the fact that it's UK taxpayers who pay for it. You do realise that's actually a small number right? many countries would love for their nuclear weapons program to only cost 150 million a year, hell that's less than the payroll at most premiership football clubs lol.

Scotland hasnt made gpus go up LOL ahahahaah. best laugh of day cheers.

Technically speaking, yes they have, not intentionally but they are responsible, GPU prices have gone up because the pound has gone down against the dollar, that's happened due to international market fears over a possible yes vote, that's happened because the SNP are holding a referendum on Scottish independence and that is happening because Scotland voted for the SNP.

I'm not mad at Scots for it or anything, in fact I think it's quite lol, but they did cause it.

Completely ignoring that you know nothing about Scottish Tax (dont pretend you do), I'll give you a little quote.

“Scottish taxpayers currently pay £163m a year towards the running of the Trident,” the SNP leader said.

Forgive the off-topic, but surely when figures are quoted for how much Trident costs, this is actually a reflection on how much it's costing to staff the base, buy in spare parts, fuel, food, drink, and so on. Doesn't most of this actually mean money is flowing from the government into people in the areas local to the Trident bases, and hence into the Scottish economy?

I've never looked into this and fully ready to be corrected, but I would've thought that losing Trident and all the jobs and supporting infrastructure that goes with them would end up with less money coming into the Scottish economy?

it is no doubt being caused by Scotland wanting to go independent causing confidence in the GBP to weaken. I hope Scotland stay in the UK, them leaving will not be good for UK businesses like ourselves, but as there are no premier Etailors in Scotland for computer hardware it is also bad for them.

I hope Scotland does get indepandance, They are not english so should not be ruled by england, Plus they have more than enough natural resources to keep them going i.e one of the main reasons why the english don't want them to get freedom, All comes down to money.

And we have many GPU's priced below our competitors, it all balances out in the end. :)

Or perhaps their stock turnover is far more than that of their competitors, hmmmm? :p

Even though the 2 PM's before the current plastic faced PM who wouldn't be fit enough to run Trumpton let alone a country were both Scottish, and they made some fantastic choices that really helped our economy.......... ;)

But if the Scots want their own independence so be it, as long as it doesn't effect the sweet deals on here! :D
