indeed, all we have ehard so far is his mention of older meat eaters being obese
The cost is irrelevant to you
Well, precisely. Meat isn't inherently bad for you. But convenience food tends to be. Not for it's meat content though(though quality can have an effect, the effect isn't quite so bad as the crazy levels of salt etc that come with convenience food).
It's never mangos and bananas is it?
Please consider double standards and research modern animal farming, I'm sure if you pet lovers did, many of you would not eat meat again.
He's not being hypocritical.
He's not defending his position on dairy: he's saying it's wrong. It's a weakness of his and something he seems to struggle to reconcile.
The hypocrisy elsewhere is the discrepancy between the value of life placed on a few dozen unwanted dogs when compared with millions of farmed animals. Many of which are significantly more intelligent than dogs, or significantly cleaner than dogs, or (arguably) rather more "cute".
Read it again, and it's still nonsense.
Regardless of it is a pet or not, it would still be eating meat. It's a moot point.
Many obese people are fat because of eating an excess of meat, animal fat and animal products.
Study a chronically obese persons diet.

So you're a hypocrite then?
I mean, surely if your principle about not eating meat actually meant anything to you, then you'd rather starve than eat an animal?
You strike me as the absolute worst kind of vegetarian - the ones who won't eat meat 'because it's cruel!!!111oneoneeleven' and love to preach to others about why they shouldn't eat all the little cuddly animals but would drop the idea if it looked like they might go hungry.
And for that reason - I'm out.
Think I'll have pork ribs tonight....

I'm doing my part.
I don't eat meat.
That's one less person taking the flesh of another animal unnecessarily.
The more that follow the better without a doubt. Fact.
That's good enough for me.
If it wasn't a pet it wouldn't exist. It's not a difficult concept to grasp.
Or do you really think we'd have 16 million cats and dogs just roaming around wild?

That is all
Ok, I'll keep it simple, for idiots.
Pets, like domestic cats, only exist because people keep pets. There is a market for buying cats, so producers produce them.
By buying a cat, you are paying the industry to produce cats. That extra cat of yours now needs feeding. You feed it meat, because it requires it. All that meat you feed it, wouldn't need to be produced buy the meat industry if you didn't buy your cat in the first place.
Hence, owning a meat-eating pet causes animals to die so that it may be fed.
Understand?
Erm... we'd still have cats and dogs? Maybe not as much, but they'd still be here, being self centered and eating meat, continuing the meat eating tyranny.![]()

Did I just die and go to meat heaven???
