FIFA 15

So it still doesn't seem to be very clear, haha.

Normal - Free gold pack a week for 15 weeks.
UT edition - Free gold pack a week for 15 weeks. A load of free gold packs to open from the get go. Some other junk ie boots, jerseys etc.

?

My understanding is:

Standard - Sweet FA
Pre-ordered Standard - Bonus items decided by whoever you pre-order with

Ultimate - 40 gold packs
Pre-ordered Ultimate - 40 gold packs plus some other random junk

No. :p

There are two versions, the standard edition and the Ultimate Team edition. Pre-ordering the standard edition gets you 15 gold packs, you get one pack every week, for 15 weeks.

The Ultimate Team edition gets you 40 gold packs, one a week for 40 weeks, you also get:
  • Messi loan player for 5 matches
  • Instant unlock of 3 exclusive celebrations
  • Adidas All-Star Team
  • Adidas Predator boot bundle
  • Historic Kits

If you just walk into a shop and buy the game on release you won't get any of the above things.

Bet you will.

I ordered from Very in the end. £88 for both the xbox 360 and a xbox one version of the ultimate team edition. (£49+£49-£10 discount)

Not bad really.

They're pre-order incentives you get the codes in an email as far as I'm aware. Not that any of it apart from the packs is of any real use anyway, and even those are debatable. :p

How does that work then? Thought it would be a redeem card in the case.

Never known the likes of Tesco sending out pre-order bonus codes in emails.

Really? I pre-ordered Need for Speed Most Wanted from Tesco and they emailed me a redeemable code from that, Amazon do, so do Zavvi, GAME and Play. I think if you walk into a store and pre-order that way then the UT edition has a different box to the standard.

EDIT: I think I misunderstood you, I was saying if you walk into a shop on release day you won't get any of the pre-order incentives for the standard version, but you can probably just buy the UT edition over the counter for £50 or whatever they're charging. The email codes do exist though, people who buy digital copies won't have any other way to receive the codes.

I'm loving the demo of this so far.

Yes there are a few negatives, for one the jaggies are absolutely horrendous on the ps4 (haven't tried the xbox one), and the keepers are a bit dodgy.

Aside from that though it's a massive improvement over Fifa 14 for me. So much so that I've been playing the demo non stop and just mixing up the teams, weather, time of day etc to keep it slightly "fresh".

I think the half time highlights look absolutely stunning too, at times if you squint it looks almost life like.

Whatever happened to Russia's greatest pace abuse striker Welliton Silva. Is Pato in this one?

So does anybody agree that FUT 14's online problems were caused by coin farming bots and that FUT 15 won't have them?
