iPhone 6 Cases & Accessories

I keep my phone in my jeans pocket all day and guess what..after a week I picked up a nice deep scratch on the screen!

What on earth do you keep in your pocket? Do you put it in the same pocket as your keys?

In 7 years of owning iPhones, I've never picked up a scratch on my screen yet. On the edges, I had a few marks on my phone as I used to throw it around a bit towards the end when I knew I was getting an upgrade, but I've found it pretty hard to scratch a screen

Likewise

I've seen people try to scratch iphone 4 screens (with gorilla glass) with knives and been unsuccessful.

Lord knows what you did to it !

I keep nothing but my phones in my pocket. 2x iPhone 5s, both in cases. Really is a mystery where the scratches have come from but there are at least 3 on there, all deep enough to feel if you pass your fingernail over it.

I'm going for the Apple one as silicone will give it mroe grip.

Isnt there a bit of silicone on the sides of the Spigen for grip?

By tge way, how much does Spigen sound german? Say it with a bit of a german tone "Das Spigen Juden"

Drinking for 10 hours = this

No screen protectors for me. The screens are very difficult to scratch these days.

Just going to get a case for drop-protection.

I'll be getting a light AG protector for mine, like i have for my 4S.

And by "a" i mean about 4 of them as i usually screw up a few applications.

Both Spigen cases for my 6 turned up today.

iPhone 6 Case Air Skin (4.7) - Soft Clear

iPhone 6 Case Thin Fit A - Gunmetal

Probably going to run with the softclear but wanted to try both. I won't be using a screen protector (hate them!) but this phone will be with me all day and is sometimes in a workshop environment. I think I have dropped my 5s 3 times in a year and the spigen thin it has on it has protected it every time, just a few nicks along the bottom edge.

Who needs a screen protector when it can resist this kind of abuse?

SNIP

You are aware glass is stronger then the metal used in that knife, even bottom barrel device would survive that e.g. L520

The reason you need screen protectors are firstly to help with drops, glass is strong but brittle so it tends to crack under the force, and second grit that all around (basically tiny bits of sand) that will leave all those micro scratches you always get.

As you see the sand paper wrecks it pretty well, and sandpaper is made of Quartz which is the second most abundant mineral in the Earth's continental crust. Which can find its way into your, it won't crack the display but it gives those small scratches.
