*** The Official Destiny Thread (now includes 2.0 and TTK) ***

I got mine randomly as I went to trade in one of my completed regular bounties. I assume you need to be level 20+ but I'm not sure.

You get a choice of 3 or 5 (can't remember) bounties with different tasks. Sadly I didn't know what any of them meant at the time so I ended up picking the one that gives you a shotgun, the only weapon that I never use!

I think its random when you hand in a completed bounty? I'm 99.9% certain you can't pick them the same way you can with the normal bounties, no matter what level you are.

I got one today, just redeemed one bounty (not 5 as some people are saying) and got given the choice of 3 exotic bounties. Definitely Google the names of the bounties before you choose.

I have one for a fusion rifle, amongst other things you have to dismantle 10 rare fusion rifles and get 200 fusion rifle kills on level 28 enemies in the nightfall mission... :/
 
Anyone for weekly strike around 9 ish on xbone?

Tried last night with someone who messaged me in game - not sure if from here but we got stuck on third wave of Wizards in the chamber. I'm level 26 now and upgraded my exotic primary so hopefully should fare better.

Anyone got a problem getting on, on ps4?
was sat playing perfectly fine and then it loses connection and says can't connect to bungie server please check network config. nothing change in the network it just lost connection to server. tried resetting ps4/router etc. and still same error.

edit: looks like not just me :)
 
I can't connec tat all at the moment (PS4). Was doing a strike when connection went and it doesn't want to let me back on.

If I do manage to get back in, any one up for the weekly strike after 9 ? Tried it on my own, got to the boss but then it got a bit silly, haha :)
 
Just gone on Twitch and most of the Destiny streamers are stuck on the title screen. Some are still playing though, not sure if the problem is platform or region specific.
 
Destiny servers are not available is what I'm getting. Bloody typical. Just managed a ninja style escape to the ps4 without the wife noticing too!
 
Had a couple of caterpillar errors /sigh - last one was after a big story fight which I guess I'll have to repeat.
 
Typical. The wife's working from 9 as well, had a night of hassle free Destiny planned. Hope they are up by the time I get back from dropping her off.
 
Yeah, can't connect either. :(

Finally got lucky today. Spent a few hours farming the 'treasure cave' and came away with a legendary fusion rifle called 'Final Rest II' and a legendary chest piece. Also finally got a half-decent assault rifle for PvP. :)

Funnily enough the two legendary items I got were from blue engrams whilst I got a rare from the one purple engram I had. :p
