Shame I like the ps4 so much if the xbone wasn't so poor I'd jump ship PSn is total gash, my 360 with live was never down this much

What don't bother to get an X1 or don't bother to jump ship? Don't bother to like the PS4?
As for PSN, yeah sure its not been a great start but its miles better then Ps3 PSN - now that was something to complain about..
yeah ps3 psn was awful but you could not really complain as it was free
Another oddity - seems like the wifi on the PS4 pretty much sucks donkey.
My Xbox360 sat in the same place as where the PS4 now resides, but the connection strength only sits at 58% - 60% max. The PS4 speedtest gives me around 500kb/s with an upstream of 1mb
Ordered a new/ better router, so hopefully that will sort it - if not I'll try the power ethernet jobbies.

I find some PSN features to be far worse on PS4!! lol
Friends list and messages are broken to the point where 70% of the time you can't even use them at all.
In all my years with PS3 (since launch) my friends list has never failed to load once - and it only takes a couple of seconds. Messages pop up instantly and let me view them instantly.
It does make me wonder how effective a lot of games will be that heavily rely on social aspects of the PSN. It's been bad enough on Destiny where people send me a message asking to join them but by the time it loads it's way too late.
Also for 2-3 days I haven't even been able to add any friends. It just loads forever after typing in the name.
Console = Great
PSN Service = Utterly Pathetic
As stated - any other product and you could instantly demand your money back because the product simply does not work as intended.
I sent my console back due to a noise it shouldn't have been making, the PSN problem is actually worse and causes me more problems.
Sony are lucky they have the much more interesting 1st party IPs on the books and the more powerful machine but people will only put up with this for so long.
Not willing to have an ethernet cable run the length of the house and up the stairs. Never had an issue with WiFi before though, only now with the PS4.
Needed a better router anyway - but I think you're right though, since the PS4 do not support the new AC standard, so will just use the powerline adapters when they come.
PS4 doesn't even support 5ghz, it's a joke. I wired mine up with ethernet and it's huge improvement.
