I despise the whining generated by using mods for extra information.

An IS tank I killed in my Churchill Gun Carrier whines at me in game then out of game for killing him with a gold shell.

Totally ignorant to the fact that he'd been moving up with an IS6 platoon which killed all the heavy tanks in front of me.

In short, hanging round with bigger tanks gets you hit by shells loaded for those bigger tanks. Shells get loaded long before you expose yourself to get hit.

Generally I ignore all commands except from really good players when I can see it makes sense - eg. "Cent7 go south we flank". Anything else like frantic map spamming just gets blocked.

Got my E100 last week only played a few games but there is something so satisfying about taking over 8000 blocked damage. Bounced 2 full clips from a gold firing woffle when nicely angled. All he could see was my tracks and angled turret

I was taking loads of hits whilst a stealthed borsig was putting shot after shot into them... 3600 dam done, 3200 spotting/tracking dam

I bought the M103 last night and think I've won one game in 15+. I've read all the bad things about it and how you should play it more like a medium but I just can't buy a win and it eats cash like my ex.

I've used all my free XP and the x3 event to grab the top gun for it yet even with 258pen I even bounce off wooden gates

Funny - I really liked the M103 - top gun made a HUGE difference. Mind you it was pretty new then and people didn't know where to shoot it.

Never really got on with the T110E5 though. Tumour on turret just wrecks it.

Having a similar mare in the E100 - one or 2 great games followed by a sucession of really poor ones. Last one there was me holding off a T110E4 from capping. Whilst three ally tanks tried (and failed one by one) to kill a Maus in the middle of the map. Surely 2 of them could have just capped and won ?

Give it time, i really like the M103, but we all get bad weeks in tanks, sometimes its best to park it up for a week and then take it for a spin.

As its been the weekend, the game has been awash with even more idiots than usual.

I'll defo plod along with it, I like a challenge. When I got the Conqueror it was pretty much the same story until the awesome top tier gun which really changed how it played.

It's all preparation for when I finally unlock the Tortoise, I just really want that in my collection!

Exactly the same for me. Finally got the T110E5 and even though it's early days I'm not liking it as much as the M103. It's fine if you have some support, but if not and you run in to a couple of other T10's it's either overpowered or I'm out manoeuvred. Out of all the tanks along that line my most played and favourite is the T29 by a mile.

Some of the T10's I find can disappoint after having ground your way to them. I unlocked and purchased the E100, still haven't got the top gun on it and found most of the games I've played in I've been rather poor compared to how I play in the E75.

First 100 or so games I loved it, then it just went bad. It felt like I couldn't win a match or worse even contribute (wide open maps with 3 arty a side). I went from a ~60% win rate in it to 50%

A lot of it was just down to playing solo, it's impossible to hold on your own if the opposition show the barest amount of bravery to rush you. I have issues with following the lemming train.

Just had a great game in the E25. Bush poking spotting, retreating firing.... Love it.

I reckon that stealth is becoming a lot harder as WG try to make all the maps just a choice of corridors for people to fire gold at the front of other peoples tanks.

I was thinking about the MM again last night.

They match MM on teirs, they broadly match tank types. WHY THE HECK don't they match on skill.

I would rather have a T8 good player than a T9 numpty. getting matches to be 50% +/- 5 would make a huge difference to how I feel about they game.

Watching a 30% team just melt through shear stupidity is just soul destroying, knowing that there is just no hope of a carry.

I always try, but those games with 5k+ wn8 and a loss are just so frustrating.

From what I understand there is a concern from the devs side - and its fairly valid I think - that if someone goes up from one skill group to the next, they suddenly go from being good, having fun and doing well to failling very quickly and thus the circle gets worse

I don't see why that would be the case? The main reason you see it being rejected is because the unicums don't want to play each other, it's more fun seal clubbing

This has got to be the most infuriating game I have ever played. It's mostly to do with the ******* morons that seem to be in abundance in the game. I only started playing a couple of days ago and am not particularly good at it but I am sick and fed up with being killed by some ******* idiot that is supposed to be on my side!! It's happened to me 4 times just tonight and at least half a dozen times today. As soon as the battle starts people just start shooting. WTF!!!! There's no enemies to be seen so why bloody shoot????? I was just in Himmelsdorf up by the castle to the east and just shot one enemy and was trying to finish another off when I get blown up from behind only to find it was one of my so-called team!! Rapidly getting fed up with this.

I cant say I've experienced much purposeful team damage :\ but yeah that would drive me mad too. The game is awesome considering its free. But at times I've found it to be a tedious slog. Eventually you master a couple of tanks which suit your play style and that can be very rewarding so makes up for it. Took me a while to get there tho..

Can't say I've had a lot of experience of this of late, but then I'm not playing in the lower tiers so much anymore.

It is one of those games that does get under your skin and ends up being a love/hate thing. Some days I'll have 70% + wins, only to play the following day where it's a struggle to get 40% - 50%

Just make sure that if this happens that you report the player or players that are doing this to you, hopefully others will along with you and if WG are doing what they say they are regarding BOTs & Noobs then they'll end up paying the price, but don't hold your breath.

Consider playing in a platoon as well, this can make a lot of difference to your progress within the game and even swing a game that appears lost to a win.

Agree with the rest above

I do tend to play most tiers - mainly cause I get fed up of those who have failled there way to the upper tiers and think its fine to play a e5 like a t1.

I've not been in a fully new player match but I have been in some with the loltraktor and I have seen a increase in the ammount of team killing - mostly I think judging by the user names from players used to playing FPS deathmatch games. WoT is more about team play, you can be a brilliant individual but you can't carry everyone to victory.

Stick withit though once you get to t3/4 then you start to get into teams that in some cases support each other - and as suggested try to get into a clan / platoon with people - it means your not alone then and have people to support you.

And don't do what 70% of new players seem to do now and go out and buy a t8 prem or the like.

Wait till you have got up to t8 naturally so you have better game understanding - if you want a prem then stick with a tank of the tier your at

The PZs35 is a great little t3 prem for example, as is the t127 - both very well protected armour wise and with a relatively good gun. and it would be matchmaking you are used to - once you get to the correct tiers

Just play the game how you enjoy it, play the tanks you like the look of. It's going to take 1000's of games before you know the maps, where to aim on enemy tanks and map tactics. Research weak points on tanks that you face, and learn how angling your armour works.

You have to realise that WoT has the single worst community ever !! Never expect anyone to offer you good advice ingame, you are just a tomato - gold noob - pocket warrior and should uninstall the game!
