Assassin's Creed Unity is 900p/30fps on both PS4 & Xbox

Owned.

Regarding the res, yes there is a big enough difference to me that I can notice easily between the two. Much the same as others can notice the difference between 30/60 FPS where by I cannot. It's a shame the shortfalls in the Xbox are now being used as an excuse by lazy devs to pull this sort of stuff. Hopefully not a growing trend or I may as well scrap consoles completely.

Presumably all those people outraged here and on twitter will still not be buying the game and its eye bleeding 900p 30 fps even though its not due to MS and "parity".

I'm actually more interested in this game now after all the drama even though I found the series to be a bit boring and repetitive after playing Creed 2, 2.1 and 2.2. :P

So why is their several other games on PS4 not running at 1080p and 60fps with all this power?

What do you mean 'all this power'?
Power is relative. Next to Xbox one PS4 has 'all this power'. Next to PC, PS4 doesn't have 'all this power'.

Don't get caught up in the p's. It's true gameplay is by far the most important aspect of gaming.
However that doesn't mean we should be happy with dev's intentionally reducing the quality of our games. You see graphics also matter, or why else do people upgrade to next gen?

So other games run at similar spec on PS4, fine.

Witht his games somehow MS are paying the dev to make it similar spec, ok.

To understand or at least to have a good idea what's going on, you need to have critical thinking skills. But first you need to be able to correctly comprehend what the parties involved are actually saying. See here.

If you are unable to read between lines, understand forces at odds within the industry and how that might influence corporate strategy. You are a PR department's perfect audience.

Please see below example. Were you one of the naive who believed Microsoft PR/Marketing?
"The PS4 isn’t more powerful. There is some confusion about the difference in the number of pixels, but the resolution of some games is defined by the publisher, not by the console. Especially thanks to the power of the cloud - we installed 300,000 servers – the capabilities of the console are multiplied by four. So if you connect the console to the Internet, then the Xbox One is the most powerful."

So why isnt the PS4 running all their games at 1080p 60fps, nothing to do with this game.

They're not all 60fps due to the **** multicore laptop CPU these consoles use but the simple fact is there is no excuse for a game not being 1080P with PS4's GPU, especially when Xbone is able to run it at 900P. If the Xbone version was 720P then 900P on PS4 would be somewhat more acceptable as then at least we'd know that the GPU's were being pushed hard by the graphics, that is not the case here.

Did laugh at somehow trying to say the idea of "Critcal thinking" made me truly laugh.
The resource in Critical thinking is based on what facts you have at hand.
No sources, no basis, no rumours, nothing for MS paying anything to anyone.

Not answering the question sadly either, jsut keep deflecting.

I work in the industry, cloud computing is something ALL the devs are very much looking into.

SO why are other games on the PS4 900p etc, did MS pay those Devs as well?

This has been going on in the background for a long time.

"One source even suggested that enforcing parity across consoles could become a political issue between platform holders [This means Microsoft], developers and publishers. They said that it could damage perceptions of a cross platform title, not to mention Xbox One, if the PS4 version shipped with an obviously superior resolution and framerate; better to “castrate” the PS4 version and release near-identical games to avoid ruffling any feathers."

However not all dev's have been put under pressure it seems.

"This claim was later countered by a contact at a different studio. “It would be totally fine for us to make one version prettier without any political difficulties but it usually doesn’t make financial sense,” they said, “unless it’s a very simple tweak.

No sources, jsut non credible qoutes, lol, billiant, just brilliant.

I can tell you, absolutely, first hand, from a Canadian studio working on some of the biggest titles, this is not going on in the background lol.
