The only non-PG flavourings I've every tried where alcohol based ones. It was a long time ago (3-4 years) and they weren't strong enough for vaping. I'm sure there are more out there now vaping is more mainstream. Glad I don't have to bother about it. 5-20% PG for flavouring effect me at all.

ok I went with the Kanger Aerotank V2 in the end with the upgraded dual coils, I think it comes with 2 ohms, but I have ordered some 1.5 ohms to test them out, :)
 
My Disappointing experience so far......

Hi. Thought I would write about my experience with these things so far.

Maybe at the end of this you will be able to give me some much needed advice.

Firstly, it appears in Chesterfield the shops that deal with this do not really give a damn about longevity of customer care.

4 weeks ago I bought my first e-cig. I at the time knew nothing about them.
£25 got me the Eros model made by Mirage http://www.miragecigarettes.co.uk/manufacturers.php?manufacturerid=3

This included a
USB Charger
650 mAh Battery
CE4 Cartomizer
10ml of 1.2% Menthol Mirage liquid

It was okay. Got the throat hit with careful slow drawing.

I then bought 3 bottles of Hangsen 18MG fruit flavours (Blueberry, Blackcurrant & Mango ) from a local shop and some more disposable Cartomizers. (Made by TECS, £10 for 3)

They were okay. But one of the cartomizers tasted burnt after a couple of days.

So I returned that as was unhappy. Ended up buying a Dual Coil Kangertech T3D. That was fine for 1 day. Gave a big throat hit but now a day later it is not flavoursome, just a heavy throat hit which is not really very nice at all.

Also with the Kangertech and sometimes with the Tecs. When I press the button and draw, I hear a popping, crackling type of noise some times.


Bottom line. At the moment I am not overly impressed. Yes I have not smoked nor wanted a normal cigarette in 4 weeks or so.

All I want is a nice fruity flavour in my mouth with a nice throat hit that is enjoyable.

Is it too much to ask?

The popping and bubbling is fine. For me a mixture of cheap liquids and a low voltage battery mean you wont get enough heat to bring the flavours alive and even if you did the hangsten liquids I tried all tasted like bin juice
 
Thank you for your reply. Now without sounding too much like a noob and reading through 511 pages on here. If I wanted to get sorted with all this. What should I do please.

I just want to be happy :)

This is similar to where I started, and 99% of people I would imagine, I found it good to begin with (didn’t know otherwise) but honestly looking back now, these are nothing compared to some pieces of kits you can buy, and not for that much.

Depending on how much you use them, this can unfortunately be the case, although I was finding 5-7 days would be the norm. But it does depend how much you use them. The lack of flavour and big throat hit would be due to the coil burning out.

The popping noise is just congealed juice around the coil burning off when you push the button, nothing to worry about.

Depending on what you are after, and willing to spend (I know this can be somewhat a leap of faith after this experience) but batteries like the MVP2 (~£40), eLeaf iStick (~£30)are solid performers. If you want to stick to the thin cylinder batteries, I would recommend the IPOW2 (~£20).

Moving onto the Atomizers. (instead of cartomizers) I would recommend the Mini Nautilus (~£20) or recently, people are raving about the Silo or Lite Silo by beyond vape. With these atomizers you replace the coils when they burn out. Which is pretty easy.

Let me know what you think, and with a budget and I’m sure more people will be along to help 

I never knew about this topic here before, otherwise I would have asked for advice firstly before any purchase.

Is my Liquid not great then as well?

I never used Hangsen to be honest. Been making my own for quite a while but before I either ordered from scopes, myshishapen (when I first started) or my localish vape shop (think they had brittania juices).

Completely understand the situation with regards to splashing out for more gear though.

Your from Derbyshire. Maybe someone lives local to you on here who also vapes with these kinda kits!

Yeah, he's started to close the site now and again so he can keep up with demand. I fear he may go the way of GVC if he gets too popular, though I do hope not!

Bloody hell, yeah Just checked, every last juice is out of stock at this moment.... :(

Ah, cheers for clearing that up. Ive never tried them before and would very much like to but thats twice its happened now. Just signed up to vape crate and also ordered a bottle of five pawns from a uk stockist. That stuff looks too nice to vape but the pretentious hipster in their videos,with his curled up mustache was a right t*** :p

Can anyone recommend any high VG 'gourmet' eliquids?
Am being pulled towards ruthless ejuice at the moment just to give them a go.

Any suggestions welcome!

and vape mail, finding it hard to getting used to this, so you set the wattage and it adjust the voltage for you?

also when I set it to say 11 watts, it reads the coil as 1.9 ohms when it is a 2.1 ohms is this normal?
