I live in the same town as her. All that talk about her being grounded, living in her simple council house and walking around the local shops like a grounded normal person. Well let me tell you something about that. It's all bloody true. If that's not a sign of mental illness I don't know what is.
If the above post is not a sign of mental illness I don't know what is, moderators, get the above poster some much needed help.
On a serious note, did you when read your post?! Does that make much sense? I hope you're just trolling and not being serious but if you're.. Oh god.
53 year-old single (butt-ugly munter) with a history of mental health problems
What is it with minted people still having council houses?
but suspect she wouldn't achieve approval to adopt, in any case. Age and being single are going to count against, even discounting anything else.
Why? I say the life chances of a child would be better with a mutli-millionaire single woman in her sixties than with out-of-work Dwayne and Charlene living on their sink estate in Bradford.
Well, they wouldn't be approved for adoption either, would they.
If they were potentially good parents then why not. Or are we saying that people who don't work aren't good parents now. The stereotyping is strong in this thread.
This doesn't sound like a serious plan to me. I've not seen anything of Boyle since failing to enjoy her appearance on the talent show, but suspect she wouldn't achieve approval to adopt, in any case. Age and being single are going to count against, even discounting anything else.
Suspect she's being whimsical rather than actually planning to pursue it. Doubt we'll hear anything more on it.
Those two don't count against you.

Who can adopt a child
You may be able to adopt a child if you’re aged 21 or over (there’s no upper age limit) and either:
single
married
in a civil partnership
an unmarried couple (same sex and opposite sex)
the partner of the child’s parent
There are different rules for private adoptions and adoptions of looked-after children.
