*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

Which is also about as often as PSN works according to some knowledgeable folk. Put my Pre-Order in for GTA V, managed to get for a touch under £40 with some loyalty points.

Walking dead for Ps4 delayed till end of month, was looking forward to this next week as I've yet to play this series..

Sure I can wait another week, its been out for years and not played it yet so one more week isn't going to hurt

Removing the drive would be a mistake and I can't see Sony doing that.

Clearly they will not remove the Blu-Ray drive and by doing so screw over people who already have a disc collection but want to upgrade consoles. then you factor in loss of disc sales in general, and that fact that many people don't have access to high-bandwidth broadband fast enough to support 60GB digital downloads, and it's just a completely ridiculous notion imo.

Looks like garbage to me written by someone who doesn't really know what their talking about:

removing the current Blu-Ray drive for the PS4 Slim version, as most players prefer to store their video game content digitally
cant be true as most won't pay the ridiculous prices that PSN demand;

minimal load times and more fluid data transfer through the SSD drive
user experience suggests that the difference is in fact minimal down to a few seconds difference to the standard drive.

a new SSD drive to replace the standard HDD, in order to allow developers to optimize more easily their latest titles in full 1080p resolution, and other next-gen features
lolwut?! The developers will not make different PS4 and PS4 slim SSD versions of their games :rolleyes:

Click bait article if you ask me.... take with a pinch of salt..

now, psn has a huge upcoming sale, for Halloween. some great games for sale, sadly mostly ps3 but maybe time to dust the old ps3 off if any ps4 owners still have their ps3 machines kicking about ....
