DPD woes

My DPD driver is an amazing bloke, he knows I often work well into the night with my international customers so when he loads up his van he puts me about halfway on his route which normally ends up being around 11am rather than waking me up at 8 after getting only a couple of hours sleep.

Likewise I often sort him out with top ups on his tea / coffee / biscuits or a cold drink in the middle of summer.

Something is going on with DPD as they have been spot on with me recently until I got carded without a knock on the door or attempted delivery.

I find DPD drivers are rude and aggressive.

I don't think you can generalise like that.

Your local drivers may well be rude and aggressive, but I'm sure not all of them are.

From my personal experience dpd have been consistently the best couriers I have dealt with. They haven't been perfect, but better than others.

Amazon logistics, and city link have been the worst for me in my area.

Contact OcUK, ask them to send a replacement while DPD look for the missing item. End of chat.

^ This basically, all sorted now, replacement to hopefully arrive tomorrow!

+1 for OcUK's fantastic customer service

One time I got really ****ed was a Saturday delivery of a 1k+ lens
Obviously I waited around for such an item all day. Said out for delivery all day. No show
Company sending said lens were ****ed too. They paid for the delivery too.

If you have a DPD order that is from us. Then please contact us for any issues with delivery. As we will lay down the smack down on their asses if anything goes wrong! But to be honest with you, they are usually very good, so we don't have to do this often at all.

Sender (not OcUK in this case) has issued me a refund in the meantime. Had 2 deliveries since via DPD without issue so can't complain too much heh.

i have to say in my area dpd are by far the best delivery......by the fact they actually deliver to my house and don't drop £1000's worth of pc items off at a house half a mile away i have never heard of (citylink i am looking at you) unfortunately i am on first name basis with my dpd delivery guy now and after a while he had to ask what overclockers was because all the boxes had that tape :D

They are going through difficult times at the moment (comparatively) they are ditching loads of customers, jacking prices up and not giving their usual high standards of service to quite a few people.

Ive had about a dozen orders from ocuk using dpd and haven't missed or had issues but im ordering a new monitor tomorrow for Saturday delivery and i can sense some issues for some reason.

....and after a while he had to ask what overclockers was because all the boxes had that tape :D

my local DPD guy is a legend, I often have parts delivered to work, but one time I had taken a few days off to watercool my PC, I had a delivery of a radiator and 2L coolant, which I overslept and missed.

the guy recognised the tape, checked the name, and delivered it to my work instead, so I ended up getting it the same day (work is a five minute walk), and the build could continue :)
