sorry my mistake, mine is the Enthoo pro White....looks great

the 200mm is more like a low pressure Corsair fan, but the 140s at 90% speed are like a hurricane........but silent.

mine has two spaces on the base panel for twin 140s, but you'll need to remove that silly PSU cover, it makes the inside look too cramped anyway.

remove that and the Drive cages and you have a lot of space inside for cooling, the back of the mobo can hide 2 drives easily...... the top tray houses the fan speed controller

the only fault it has is the tinted side glass that looks murky and too dark at night, plus you only have to touch the rubbishy perpex and it'll scratch like crazy, it'll look horrible after only two weeks. you'll need to mod the side panel to fix that..

you can buy perforated Aluminium sheets in the same style as the roof vent to solve this problem...mine is arriving tomorrow

i dont know why the hell they used tinted glass, because it looks totally wrong with a White Case

I like the white for the pro version, looks a lot nicer!

Yeah I will probably mod it at some point when I go WC but for now I just need more space, better airflow and cable management and a good frame to work with later on. The tinted glass doesn't bother me as I'll add a light strip in there later on. After this I'll be saving for the new Intel series chipset dependent on how good they are when released and probably a new desk!

Can you fit any type of drive at the back or does it need to be SSD? I have a hybrid drive but I can't remember if it's got the holes at the back to use the attachments. I'm positive my old samsung f3's don't.

hybrid will fit yea, but no other drive that's too bulky
 
What if I can get a primo for £170? I might stretch to that for that case it looks great!

Man can't decide between the two now. Luxe for under 110 or Primo for 170 :S

Bought the Luxe, should have it Thursday. Will buy two extra phantek 140 fans for the front to replace the 200mm fan as it's apparently noisy at load.
 
it's the thin front panel, it magnifies any fan noise, all cases do this.

the 200 mm is only quiet at 1/2 speed which means it's lost a lot of power, plus it's a long way from the GPU :eek:

the 140mm Phanteks are only 5'' away at 90% speed, so the air rushing underneath the card and over the top into the cooler is very powerful, it chills your hand quite quickly, it's about the same force as a hair dryer.............. nice !!
 
i repainted the new Aluminium perforated side panel in mid grey and it'll be ready for fitting tomorrow

but it's still too dark inside the case, so i've ordered a Corsair LED White for the Megahalems and another one for the base panel, this cooling is getting a bit stupid now but the light from the Corsair fans doesn't hurt your eyes, it's nice and dullish.

i've removed the dust sheet and the fan grill from the roof and i'm running it open with just the Honeycomb moulding in place, the roof ventilation is miles better now.

the phanteks is a very large case, with a massive variety of fans that you can use and it runs extremely cold, mind you it takes a lot of work to get it right

new side panel didn't work, i still couldn't see in well enough, ok so it looks like i'll go for clear Acrylic, but i do have to say that the PC looks miles better with no side panel
 
You looked at getting some Acrylic yet Mal?

I've received the case and hoping to move all componenets tonight and see how it looks. Probably just get a small light strip to light up the insides if I do move it ontop of my desk.

hi

i fitted clear Acrylic and it looks miles better almost like there's nothing there, but i prefer the case with the side panel off, i tested it on and off just to make sure and there's no difference in temperatures..

i fitted a corsair White LED SP120 to Megahalems, it looks really nice, plus i now have SLI, so it looks quite impressive inside
