I think BST has more of a screw on you mentally than it going back. If we weren't screwing with the clocks and it was locked in, which zone should we be in? Is BST the best?
It would be kind of stupid if the country which GMT originates from decided to go GMT+1.
Anyway, the extra hour in bed last night did me no favours; my over-anxious mind ended up dreaming that in the process of the clocks going back, all the clocks in the world ended up completely wrong and nobody knew the right time any more. Cue me waking up at 4am checking my clock and phone and then not being able to sleep again!
During British Summer Time (BST), civil time in the United Kingdom is advanced one hour forward of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), so that evenings have more daylight and mornings have less.[1][2] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Summer_Time
