Games with epic atmosphere

Pretty much anything Ken Levine related has great rich atmosphere and depth. Can't wait to see what his new venture churns out.

Amensia, A Dark Descent.

Op did a twitch stream of him playing this one Saturday afternoon IIRC.

Can't wait to see if the OP does an Alien Isolation stream, or rather "Agnes hides in a cupboard for 3 hours, bring your conversation hat it's gonna be a long afternoon." :D

If you can be bothered to get it working i strongly recommend Silent Hill 2, though i do not know how the game handles controllers.

It doesn't rely on cheap jump scares but pure psychological horror.

The atmosphere and music is top notch.

Has to be Bioshock 1 to start off..... still one of the most atmospheric games I've played.

Skyrim can be in places certainly... especially if you get into a good run with it.

Metro2033 certainly.

Singularity had fantastic atmosphere - brilliant decrepit abandoned russian research island, but then you time jump and see the same areas in their heyday. Absolutely dripping with immersion.
