Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

Haha, looks like camping in bushes with thermal scopes is back, along with quick scopers. Didn't they say you coukd not qs in this game? Check out thunder latest video.

Tonight has not changed my opinion, I really want to like but there is no skill involved in MP. Tempted to blast through campaign and stick it on MM while it is worth something.

lol @ no skill involved.. if you want to do well theres a lot of skill involved more so than any other COD.

But sitting in windows is not what most people would call skill.

Not going to lie ive done 9.5hrs game time and probably seen one/two campers max. Either thats pot luck in the 50+ games i've played or your playing the wrong game modes. Pretty much any other shooter i've played inc previous CODs have had more campers than this.

I've mostly played domo which is full of campers, but the game has been made so the flag locations have loads of vantage spots over them. I think the maps and exo suits suit TDM/KC.

Since when does holding the high ground and shooting other players in the back count as skill? As much as I have ranted about the maps being **** amd getting shot in the back, I equally get as many kills from shooting people in the back. To me that takes no skill and isn't enjoyable to play.

Also been hammering Domo and its been fine for me, the very rare camper and mainly just people hanging around the flags as most people should expect nothing outrageous or out of the ordinary.

Not been shot in the back too much at all today the only map i really get hammered in the back is that one with the two holes in the middle that i seem to kill my self on all the time which for me is the worst map on the game.

Why is all the good stuff time limited? Are there permanent versions as well?

I got two nice looking helmets, both time have an expiry. Got some plain looking one and no expiry. Same with some other stuff :(.

I'm sticking to HC in this game now. Playing Core and I struggle to kill people and go negative every game. Jump onto HC and I go positive every game and end up near the top of the table.
Despite people saying HC is full of campers it's no worse than Core. And at least people die when you shoot them.

It's okay, the campaign is regular COD so good for 6-8 hours and the multiplayer is better than Ghosts but aside from the double jump it's really nothing new and the maps are pretty average.

I really wish they would sort the netcode out, I played a lot of Titanfall and Destiny and rarely felt cheated (shot around corners, bullets not registering, etc) but COD manages to leave me feeling irritated at the game far too often.

Will probably sell it as I got it pretty cheap and there are other games that I'll enjoy more.

No doubt I will be back again next year saying the same thing! :)

What's people's thoughts on multi player so far? Haven't had a chance to play yet

10hrs on (MP alone) here now, absolutely loving it.
The customization of your character and full control of your loadout is a great new addition.
Once you get used to the additional controls and new game style it really comes to life.

I said it yesterday after 3hrs on it and I stand by it even more so now: This is the fresh new gamestyle we all wanted for the franchise and they have delivered it.

For me this is the BEST CALL OF DUTY game to date.

Edit to add: still no server issues or lag here, not a single thing to complain about tbh, very impressed/happy.

For those that insist on comparing it to Battlefield....they are two very different types of game....It's like trying to compare Driveclub to Gran Turismo or Forza.

Played the MP for a good few hours last night. The graphics are pretty average bar a few nice effects here and there, the lag on some rounds was awful, getting shot by someone lagging all over the place is not fun. The maps are fairly average, nothing stands out present and they are all pretty similar. I do quite like the EXO suit stuff though as COD needed to do something different, even if it does feel like titanfall without the wall running. It's the same old COD really, very frustrating but you keep coming back for more. I'm going to see what the maps are like in the Season Pass as I don't think the standard ones are particularly amazing. I do think its a big improvement on the last few games though, especially SP mode. I've been playing the 12-18 player matches mainly. Which modes do people prefer?
