Ah, how do you unlock Akimbo, wanna try something like that with my Run n gun spec ?

I tried searching for this but couldn't find details - is there definitely split-screen in this one? I remember MW1 I think had those Spec Ops missions which were fun for local co-op. Apparently a dev confirmed there would be splitscreen in this one, but I can't find what you can actually do in it.

Sounds like a sniper rifle going off. What's beautiful about it, is that for the most part, they are one shot kills. If you miss, swapping to a primary for a finisher sometimes pays off too. Reload times on it is bloody snappy too.

I put a scope on mine, but might actually take it off.

Going to experiment with having it + fast run perk (whatever its called again), then with 2 Exo abilities combined (faster sprint one, and the one that makes the first exo ability lasts longer)

I shall call it my Run n Gun spec.

Sounds pretty sweet, not even tried that gun yet.

Finally played a few hours last night. Quite enjoyed it and thought the maps were an improvement over the last few games. Really is a case of making sure you have the higher ground though, almost suicide staying on the ground on some levels!

Only certain guns have it I think mate, when you go and hover over them it will say "Akimbo only." I think there is an SMG I've seen 2nd from bottom (the one I use) and a heady Akimbo setup.

Some people love it, some people like it, and some hate it. No need to take any of it personally.

Momentum was good fun when I played too. Need a few players in a party ideally though had a few excellent back and forth battles.

So two sessions in and I'm still not convinced by this.

Whilst I've had some games that have been decent I'm really not a fan of the exo stuff.
It really doesn't take much skill anymore and is more a case of luck, being in the right place at the right time when people are jumping about all over the place as opposed to skillfully flanking someone.
Not to mention constantly being shot in the back!

My biggest problem though is the fact that Treyarch/Infinity Ward are going to find it really hard to go back to basic on foot gameplay after this/TitanFall/Destiny so I think the exo stuff may be here to stay.

There are "Classic" game modes...without the Exo

You get shot in the back, how is that the games fault?

I know that, but I like to play in a team so don't want to go off on my own or with just one or two others and play that. Playing with randoms is a bloody nightmare.

Erm, map design, exo abilities? Obviously not every time I get shot in the back it is due to this but it happens a lot more in this than any other COD game.

Yes, but when I say a team I am talking about people I have played COD with for years.
Plus I can see 'classic' modes being slowly phased out completely.

It's all subjective but yes, I'd say the same thing to them.

The thing is, even with classic modes no one ever plays them. We all loved 3-5-7 and one air unit at a time. Yet when a game came out (iirc mw2) with tonnes of air units but a classic mode of 3-5-7 no one wanted to play it. I could never understand that.

I lost interest after Blops, maybe even MW2. 3-5-7 was so much better for me and routes round maps in domination that meant after spawning you pretty much ran to meet again face to face. Also after playing Gears for a long while I just cannot play a shooter that is p2p anymore. To me that's just wasted time on my connection.

I will no doubt play the campaign like everything else from blops onwards and not touch the MP at all. What's veteran like this time?

They can't please everyone those who don't like it specifically for the Exo, shot in the back mayaswell sell up as a patch won't change that .
Think this may just be the first game since CoD 4 I buy the season pass. Literally can't wait to play again tonight not had the urge like this since MW2.

Yeah thats true about the classic modes to be honest.
Not even tried the campaign yet mate.
