Driving Newcastle to Manchester next week

Parking in Manchester is outrageously expensive. If you head to 'Sheffield street' behind Picadilly its £2.50 for 24 hours and isn't far from pollard street.

I use the NCP in NQ just outside my apartment for parking, luckily have reasonable season passes. I drive to the northeast and back most days usually York and Middlesbrough. Easy if rather boring trip, the easiest way into Manchester is towards Oldham at the Rochdale turnoff on the M62.

We ended up staying at a hotel next to Belle Vue racing track in the end, the hotel had a free car park.

That was the way my sat nav directed me I think.

Just watch out for traffic. 7-9.30/10AM and 4.30-7 are horrendous all over Manchester's ring road and surrounding areas.
