Other points. Most of the "stupid" immigrants would not be allowed in the country. A country native population will always have a larger variation of stupid to intelligent than immigrant populations as arguably, most of the "stupid" immigrants are still in their native countries as not intelligent enough to go through the processes to emigrate.

This is why comparing the GCSE results of english against non-english is never going to give reasonable results.

As for ambition, arguably immigrants who have traveled to another part of the world are already more ambitious than someone who has never left the town they grew up in. To make out as if 2nd generation immigrants are more intelligent or ambitious because of their ethnicity is racist.

tl;dr Simon Burgress is pro eu and set out to confirm his opinions with the study and the bbc is racist for publicizing it.

Coming over 'ere, being better at our jobs than we are. T'ain't right!

I'm not sure I care which ethnic group our over/underacheivers come from, as long as the balance between the two is static and they're paying tax I figure the net result for me stays the same.

How much does immigration cost the emergency services?
What about education? Round where I live the ESOL is free, with the cost coming from the public purse.

Is this limited to the uk or do we see the same results in other EU countries? How much are British migrants to Poland or Portugal costing the respective governments in benefits? Are we more or less educated?
 
Another problem i thought of recently with regards to the EU mass immigration problem is that english is the most widespread language in europe. If england goes in to a recession the working population does not have the option to move to germany, holland, france, spain and so on and work in that country because they do not speak the language. However if any of the EU countries experience economic problems, they will first emigrate to the UK because they speak english before they do polish or italian.

I saw a recent article saying that polish are better workers that is why they come over and take the jobs because english is lazy. The real problems is not lazy english but government policy going back 30-40 years. Firstly the welfare state encourages people not too work and so on. Then the school syllabus has been feminized and modified to push people towards office jobs and away from jobs that women generally don't do.. This is why we have a brain drain in artisans fields and fields like construction. It is not because the british are inherently lazy, that is just what pro eu people would have us believe so that we change our mind about the damage that mass immigration is having on our country.
