To imply that an entire ethnicity of people is x and y is racist.
It is also non sense, there are millions of white british who are not dumb and lazy, obviously. It is just a ridiculous racist argument coming out the left at the moment to try and counter the anti-eu anti-massimigration. The entire argument is fallacious and design to play up the value of immigrants by downplaying the value of native white british.
Its quite telling that this thread isn’t deleted yet after 3 pages.. change white for black on that title regardless of the content and it would be deleted. That simple fact alone makes this racist.

London Newcastle is compared in the article directly, but I didn't understand why that direct comparison was made either, as you say they're pretty much as different as UK cities can get.
Back to the ficals, from the actual report:
EU immigration is positive because a large amount of them go back home, and are replaced by newer arrivals, meaning the costs of old age and childcare are not borne by the UK. non-EU immigrants acheive pretty much tax payers parity with the natives, despite having much more children, and thus (it can reasonable be assumed) a higher direct cost.
So I go back to my point in the OP. White British are under acheiving. Why?

Of course the BBC spins it with "diversity" but what they are realy getting at is exactly what the op has said. The bbc article says that diversity is directly responsible for better performance of white British in london. I would argue the opposite, the influx of mass immigration has led to decline in performance of white british in london, because of the increase in the amount of languages and the often lower intelligence level of immigrants which brings down the performance of white british. Historically white british in london has always performed better on aggregate than the rest of the country. The study has tried to use this long term trend by saying that it is the diversity responsible for it. It is a racist theory. There is no diversity in the rest of the country? It just makes no sense what ever way you look at it.
The study author basically set out to find statistics to agree with his pro mass immigration pro eu opinions.
What he is trying to say, and a few others;
two threads created.
both linking a newspaper article with figures.
One highlighted a trend amoungst blacks.
other highlighted a trend amoungst whites.

I know from my experience at school there were plenty of children that did not see the value of eduction, were uninterested in learning, and bullied those who tried hard or did well in exams. That is an attitude that needs to change if the gap in performance is to reduce. IMO, this goes straight back to their parents who must instill such value upon their children really.
