England's World Cup Bid corrupt, Russia, Qatar OK say FIFA

It's quite funny how FIFA portray this image of integrity when everyone knows they're more corrupt than the countries bidding to host the world cup.

And in other news, today the Pope confirmed that he is indeed Catholic.

Coming up next, your local weather forecast.

Why was this not done by an independent body? Who in the right mind thinks it's a good idea to let the accused to investigate itself?

Probably the same people that let FIFA change laws in the country's that host the world cup and who let them do everything completely tax free.

I guess they didn't brief Garcia of their 'summary' so why apparently change it so much and expect him to say nothing?

They must have foreseen this!?

Can we have an investigation in to the investigation?

"Today I announce my intention to step down as the head of the investigation into corruption in football. Unfortunately I have become the subject of a completely unrelated investigation into potential corruption surrounding people who investigate corruption. I expect this to be a long and drawn out process, especially given that the lead investigator in the investigation into corruption surrounding those who investigate corruption has himself been implicated in a corruption scandal. A corruption investigation into those who investigate corruption involving people investigating corruption is now in the planning stages."

In addition, I do hope we pull out of qualification for this tournament, should it still go ahead. I believe others would also follow suit.

So many reasons why this world cup is a bad idea, and only one reason why it might be a good one - and sure as hell, the fans aren't the ones benefiting from that

I would support this completely, and I think the majority of the British public would as well provided there was a strong media campaign to go along with it. Unfortunately I can't imagine the sponsors would be too happy.

The sponsors are going to be mightily miffed with FIFA as well as it is.

As part of World Cup 'policy' if you will, alcohol has to be sold in the stadium. A condition upon which sponsorship money is paid to FIFA. In Brazil, this practice is illegal. However for the World Cup, a special dispensation was miraculously made whereby this was allowed.

That was just a law that FIFA changed, which is bad enough. In Qatar it will be a religious and cultural change as well.
