Swap AMD CPU in PC at work

If you have DDR3 RAM,a SATA HDD and an OS,how about a SFF system like the following:

I have the model up from it and they are both made of aluminium and look quiet smart IMHO.

Man, that's a much better idea - and is cheaper too, which is bizarre. I'm tempted by that little thing for home, too.

SO - it's a bad idea to fit a new mobo to this current 'thing'? Perhaps a new machine is in order. Wish me luck with convincing the head honcho that that's a good course of action.

Its a pretty compact case - it will only take a single full sized HDD,but it will do the job I suspect.

When you say camera?? How many cameras and what software do you use??

If you are recording footage it would mean you are thrashing the HDD. How multi-threaded is the software?? Maybe try and get a Core i3 instead??

So maybe the Antec case will be a better bet as you can plonk more storage in.

Maybe an Elite 120 or Eliet 130 case??

It was £259 I think at the arse end 2012. To me, that's not very expensive for a desktop, but that's because I don't really like crap PCs.

EDIT: What I mean is, I'm not sure I've ever spent that little on a PC.

No, no recording - it's a live stream, sort of like a posh webcam, used for taking centration data from somebody wearing a pair of spectacles. It's an opticians.

The good news is that the E350 is so laughably bad you could replace it with a £30 dual core Celeron + cheapest motherboard you can find and you'll see a massive performance increase - likewise a £50 Pentium K will feel like time travel.

You could do it even cheaper if your not worried what it looks like.

Okay so I'm genuinely tempted to make this my first build, simply due to the price. I need a little cheap runner for home, so I'm sorely tempted, plus, there's plenty of unemployed HDDs at home.

Sadly, to update - my boss decided he knew better, and has sent the whole tower of to be 'sorted'...**** knows what that means...probably wasting more money on something not very good.
 
Nobody has mentioned windows licences yet.

They will be OEM licences on the original PC's and that may cause problems trying to get them to activate when you swap parts out.

TBH in situations like this id say a new tower or giving it to someone else to sort out is the best bet.
