It's that time of year again my Pre '51 brethren!

What's your plan of action to tackle condensation buildup on the in and outside?

For the inside I've got the heaters on full (external air) with the windows down for the last few mins to let that warm moist air out and a clean window absorption sponge for a quick wipe when I get in.

Where's the cheapest place to buy tons of Silica Gel? Also is Rain-X any good for the outside so it doesn't build up on the wing mirrors?
 
I fixed my tail light gasket leak and left a dehumidifier on full blast in the cabin for a couple of hours. Not a drop of condensation anywhere inside now :)

I've tackled the leaks, this is just to deal with the general dampness that comes about from getting in when you've got a wet coat or your passenger gets all wet when she hears that VTEC howl, or something.
 
Stop using your car for dogging on dark winter nights and problem solved as no heavy breathing action going on.
 
My a/c is always on so I've never experienced these problems.

How people drive in the condensated conservatory they drive in I don't know, all windows foggy.
 
I just have ac on at "not much warmer than outside" and aimed "up", so that it is just air moving over the windscreen. Having a large temperature difference makes it get worse before it gets better (plus all the other windows mist up)
 
On a semi related note - is RainX any good on rear windscreens which have relatively little air flow to push the drops off? My car is too cool to have a rear wiper.

spend most of your time driving backwards then? i have rear wiper can not say i ever use it
 
Heh. I mainly drive tiny little country lanes and end up doing a lot of reversing back to find a passing place. Irritating when mirrors and rear screen are all covered in rain but it's not the end of the world.

problem of having it on your back screen, will be as soon as it gets dirty the rainx wont work
 
rainX is also pretty useless at low speeds, they work at high speeds with the win dissipating the water particles.

As said condensation is usually due to a leak, I get it on mine and my driver side door rubber seal is slightly ripped at one part, got a replacement off a donor car, but its probably just as old.
