Gran Turismo 6

Well I tried it & still can't get over how weak it is, Felt even softer than last time to me, No feedback, You can't feel the tyres/Grip/Lack of it, Tyre squeal still drives me nuts.
Straight back to Grid2.

I think those social feats shouldve been in the game from day one. Back when people were really excited about the game.

Too little too late imo.
 
You mean you are not getting all moist at the thought of driving this....

You know what really ***** me off ? Years ago there was a game called Richard Burns Rally, The Ultimate Drivers game even up to this day, Must have been 10 years ago but in all the time between RBR & the present day nobody has even come close to match the feel of driving in RBR.
Now I have to ask What the **** ?

If I had the money I would buy the rights to RBR re skin it & release it & blow every single other driving game clear out the water & show them for the piles of ***** they are. Loads of pretty GFX but absolutely no feel or feedback whatsoever.

Then on top of All the above Richard Burns was an English World Champion who has just been forgotten, If any game makers had the same respect for Richard Burns as I do they would have made a point of re releasing RBR & keeping the franchise going.

The above is why I think current drivers are bags of **** & RBR Rally is proof !!!

It annoys me too, some of the choices Polyphony made with GT5 and GT6 are just baffling, the standard cars still being in the game is one thing that confuses me. If Turn 10 can manage to make every car look great then why can't Polyphony do the same? Granted there aren't half as many vehicles in Forza as there are in GT6 but personally I prefer quality over quantity and how many versions of the Nissan Skyline do we really need?

The sound designer/engineer should be shot as well, the sounds in GT5 were awful and it's the same again in GT6, collisions sound like somebody dropping a plastic container, there's virtually no difference in exhaust sounds when driving through a tunnel, the tyre squeal is absolutely deafening regardless of speed and it's hard to tell the difference between an F430 and a Focus ST. Polyphony really need to buck their ideas up for whatever their next game is going to be, we need more content in terms of events, we need less of the same model of car with virtually no distinguishable in-game differences, most importantly for me personally I just want to see high quality throughout rather than a mixed bag ranging from awesome to utter ****.
 
I remember playing RBR & being physically hurt when I crashed severely as the wheel would smash my hands to bits, I felt how the co driver sounded. :p Superb sound fxs.
Then just completing 1 stage clean was a major achievement equally a massive buzz, Completing a whole Rally & finishing top 3 was an Epic achievement & you felt that from your boots to your belly. :cool:
The grip & feedback was Perfect, Even the initial learning school was mint. All they would have to do is remaster the GFX's & include a Multiplayer option.

This is & has always been my Dream Drivers game.


As for GT6 as K1LLSW1TCH says Why the hell does anybody need that amount of cars, Nobody is going to bother with a base level car so why put them in the game ?
Sound FXs are Dismal, not just bad but terrible.
No feedback is unforgivable & with that it's no surprise that most cars feel the same. I honestly think all they do is vary the under-steer.
All the Guff that's talked about how they analyse this & that to make the game is **** ****. I don't believe it & will never believe it when they turn out such dismal worst than Arcade even ****.

Wait, what do you mean? The volume of basic cars has always been gran turismos strength along with the tracks ajd handling model.

I don't want to lose any more cars and would love some of the old GT2 cars came back even in standard non premium format.
 
Overall the cars sounds are bit generic but some cars sound great like the Red Devil, the developers have said that the quality of the sounds in Gran Turismo 6 will be improved, but most of the work will be done in Gran Turismo 7.

I completed GT All Stars using the McLaren 12c really nice car to drive. Has anyone driven the new Subaru VIZIV GT Vision Gran Turismo yet?
 
I know it sounds crazy but I am hoping that Dirt 4 will actually be a top form rally game (without all the ken blockness hopefully).

I also missed GT6 due to how disappointing, boring and misguided on GT5, I really doubt GT7 will take a huge leap, obviously Kaz will talk a load of bull :rolleyes:. it is good atleast their are some new titles coming out that fit the sim genre and actually look very promising.

Heard that too... Along with a number of other thing like track editor. All a load of lies/rubbish.

For me, the next version of this game will NOT be a mandatory purchase.

Same here mate for the first time since the 1st ever GT. :(

What is totally whack is that I Glitched GT6 so have every car I want & every mod I want & still have Millions of credit left to buy anything that comes out. I still haven't found a car which I think handles as it should. Such a disappointment. :(

A week ago I picked up GT5 for a few quid on a nostalgia trip for the 1st GT title. It's turned out to be a more expensive nostalgia trip than expected as I somehow have managed to aquire a DFGT and decent stand (one of these http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18359321). It was £45 for both and GT5/NFS:HP so I think I can be forgiven as that's a steal.

I was going to get GT6 so I'm up to date but by the sounds of it I'm better off getting Assetto Corsa or Project Cars on the PC.
