So my old kindle has a damaged screen, badly damaged so I can't read half of it (me being a numpty and not keeping it in a case). So I decided to buy a new one - thought the paper white one would be a good choice.... it arrived today from the rainforest place and when I went to turn it on there was a bright dot... I want to say 'dead pixel' as it is essentially that sort of issue.
Question is - would you return it?
Pic below - the 'dot' is actually brighter than it appears to be in the picture:
I'm undecided - one one hand it isn't a TV or table where I'd be watching video... On the other hand it is in the middle of the screen and they clearly do have quality control issues with these kindles - in principle I ought to be able to send it back and demand a replacement but that could be a bit of a faff.
