All Amazon items estimated for delivery on Tuesday or later?

Usually I can order an Amazon item on a Saturday and it will turn up on a Monday.

How come Amazon is saying that all items ordered right now are due on Tuesday or later? Is there an event on Monday that means no deliveries are taking place on Monday?

Seems pretty random, I have prime and ordered something yesterday which got delivered today, but then I ordered something last Tuesday which hasn't even been delivered yet and another thing I ordered last night is saying Tuesday.

It depends entirely on their stock levels, where the item is being dispatched from etc. I ordered some Osram headlight bulbs from Amazon the other day and they came from Germany.

Guessing a back log (or pre-empting such) due to black friday, etc. I noticed it too as often I can even order on a Saturday and have it turn up Sunday let alone Monday of late. My orders have already gone out for what looks like Monday delivery through even though its estimating Tuesday.

EDIT: Its just literally updated as I was posting this - order split into 3 parts with the main bulk now showing as Monday, 1 item Tuesday and the last part of the order was with a 3rd party seller anyway and showing Tues-Wed.

Had a prime order quote 2 days but still came next day, so they're probably just covering themselves due to how busy it has been.

Yeah same here. I went on Live Chat with them last night to say that items I'm ordering as a Prime Member are saying they'll take 4 days to be delivered.

Most of them actually turned up today though which was good.

I'm not sure where the T&Cs for Prime stand with Prime service offered but it not being a Next Day delivery.

I have Prime, and I've noticed that at least one of the lightning deals gave me an estimate of Wednesday when I placed the order on Saturday. I then afterwards purchased a normal item and it was next day again. To be fair, I've ordered so much that I've been trying out the offer of having a free credit for Amazon's e-stores, rather than next day delivery.

A family member did once complain when something due for next day delivery didn't arrive and then got three months Prime for free. But if they are putting the dates back in advance, then its probably to cover for this. I know it says "Next Day Delivery" in the bold print, but I've never read what the small print says.

Well.. All orders that I am placing tonight with next day delivery have an estimated delivery of Thursday, I'm a prime customer also. Looks like they are buckling big time!

Need to be a little bit careful now, if the delays gets any worse it will mean any last minute Christmas gift ideas won't reach you until after Christmas.
