I just ran AS SSD Benchmark and compared it with the results from the sticky and my Seq. read/writes aren't far off but the other scores seem to a good bit lower.

The left image is from the sticky and the right image is mine.

Is this just age related performance drop or something else?

Thanks

Pretty interesting as you are using the Intel drivers where as the sticky is using the ms drivers. Yours should be better... are your drivers up to date?

how full is the drive? speeds should be better than that

running latest motherboard bios might help aswell with latest sata oproms

what motherboard?

I didn't even know I had a choice :)

Is AHCI set in the bios?

Fairly certain that it is but i'll double check.

Still 40gb free and my mobo (see sig) BIOS is the latest.

it might help to backup the data and secure erase it,then restore the data

can clone it to a spare drive, secure erase with parted magic then clone back

Is that an all-in-one process done using parted magic or is there more to it than that?

Also, I would i go about changing from the Intel drivers to the MS ones?

Thanks
