Assassins Creed - Victory (PC)

PR disaster or trying to change the subject after all the bad press?

I really enjoyed Black Flag but not really been captivated by Unity as yet.

I went back to playing Middle Earth:Shadow of Mordor and it's such a good game by comparison. Shameless rip off (mechanics) probably but it's great fun and those 60 fps make things feel so fluid.

I don't think Ubi or Activision get the concept of franchise fatigue... Please come up with something fresh and interesting, this year on year reskin cash-grab model is becoming tiresome and has overstayed its welcome IMO.

At the very least leave a year or 2 gap between each iteration to build anticipation and add new content, mechanics and ideas and also polishing and testing so the damn title actually works at release!!

Did unity end up with the whole 900p 30fps thing? I wanna play it but i wont unless thats confirmed, shame if it considering ac works well in triple screen on older titles

That was for the PS4 & XB1 - and both would happily take those 30fps if they could get them. What were Ubisoft thinking releasing the game running at sub 20 fps during certain phases of gameplay?

PC performance is all over the place for many. I have an i5 4690 + 970 and it seems to run well enough at 1080p - shadows and AA do hit performance hard. The LOD corruption / feature hurts the eyes too.

Do people still buy these games? Same rehash again and again. Ubi games even share the same formula across their franchises! Main story + repetitive fluff side missions + towers to climb to unlock areas of the map. Its ridiculous

In what way?

Mostly just the lighting and general graphics "look" to it, never mind the fact that the guy on the left below could practically BE a Dunwall guard and I wouldn't have noticed the difference!

The best AC was the first one. Everything about was fresh. The mechanics where new and the graphics where awesome for the time.

I remember when they demo'ed it for the first time. Things like riding on the horse and scaling the walls and assassinations where all new mechanics for gaming.

The first one was good, but IMO 2 really built on and improved it, plus Ezio was a wicked character :p

I have to agree with you here. The first one was a little too repetitive. The second game was by far the best one I have played. Although, I am enjoying Brotherhood (what I've played of it at least).

Black Flag seems to be the best one so far, judging from what people have said. Perhaps Victory is being developed by part of that team?
