Capcom just leaked this early on youtube by accident and video has now been removed. Guess this was supposed to be announced at the Sony conference tomorrow! :p

EDIT: Somebody re-uploaded:

The text stating this will only be on PS4 and PC doesnt look..... Fancy enough... Looks out of place.

You sure this is for reals?!

Yea the video was originally on an official Capcom account, but was then made private

It obviously sucks for Xbone owners, but this being exclusive has its upside: more players concentrated on a single platform = easier to find other players with good connections, which is super important in a game where you're doing 1-frame links (i.e., combos requiring precision up to 1/60th of a second).

I will say though that I'm disappointed with the look of the game. It looks a LOT like SFIV, which isn't a bad looking game, but I would have liked some variety.

More interested that they improve the netcode (GGPO?), but frankly the SF4 games didn't fair well on the PS3 because that was a bit of lag compared to the other platforms (was it due to input lag caused by accounting for the analogue buttons or just PSN I can't really remember).

I know Kre* will know :)

ps3ud0

as long as it plays more like alpha, cvs2, or st than sf4, i will be happy.

all i am wishing for is no long reversal window, no input shortcuts or long windows, and please for the love of god dont make the game so slow like sf4.

The only reason SFIV didn't have GGPO was because the game engine was made before the purchase of the GGPO licence, and the engine has to be built from the ground up to support it. As for Street Fighter X Tekken not having it... it's the same engine as SFIV.

For example you actually need a simple 2D version of the game running in the background to run GGPO on with rollbacks, and the 3D rendering basically just gloss on the front of it.

I would be gobsmacked if it wasn't implemented in this version.

just saw the trailers, screenshots of the game. it looks like sf4 and animate like sf4.

they are still re-using the 5 year old character models and animation. judging from capcom's previous approach to series, i wouldnt keep my hopes up too high.

japanese companies are not known for making great net codes and considering there is more pixels now with the flashy background and other stuff, i doubt the online will be any better than sf4.

What? You know games like counter strike 1.6 had roll back net code and that's 20 years old and far more complex than a simple fighting .

The graphics have nothing to do with roll back net code.

Capcom have implemented ggpo into all their 2d fighters because it's easy to retro fit it with modern console processing power. Normally games must be designed from the ground up to use it.
