Energy drinks

Red Bull is my choice, love the taste of the stuff.

I'm only likely to have them in 3 situations:

- At my friend's flat up until silly hours in the morning playing games and watching films.
- Whilst playing a decent long game of BF4 or similiar
- With Vodka to keep me from flagging on a night out

Instead of drinking "energy" drinks people should generally:

*try eating better
*drinking more water instead
*sort out their sleep routine
*exercise more

You'll be amazed by just how much more real energy you have!

edit:
and to answer the OP I should have said:

I don't drink them they're not particularly good for you. I do enjoy a coffee from time to time though. :)

High 5 2:1 on a 2 hr plus bike ride otherwise just good ole water is enough for me. If I'm tired and need a boost then coffee every time.

Agreed. You shouldn't need them anyway. I gave up caffeine for 6 months and never felt better. However I genuinely enjoy coffee so I have some. Not a lot I.e. Not every day.

hah, same here, I've done the same quite recently. I switched to decaff coffee at work and bring my own in, took a while to find a brand I liked as most decaff is dreadful.

Save the real stuff for the weekend.

I'll drink them if I'm tired, perks me up more than coffee.

And I mean "I've been up for 2 straight days" tired, not general lethargy, if I drank them every time I felt tired I'd be drinking them all day.

That downer tho.... No point in having more energy in the short term if you feel crap 5 minutes later...

All about that slow release energy throughout the day (so I hear :p).

I've always had a bad habit of reaching for sugary rubbish.

when I was in uni I was drinking 2-3L of orange (fizzy) Lucoazade a day.
about a year ago I completely cut sugar out of my liquid intake, tried a lucozade a few months later and it tasted horrible.

the last 2 months I have slipped into old habits, and am drinking far too much monster, time to up the effort again as I'm starting to put on weight again.

Coca Cola.

Has Caffiene and sugar.

I can at times drink far too much, But without it or other forms of sugar and caffine i can get the shakes and feel faint.

I am slowly cutting down, was on over 2L per day for 6 years, now i drink say 2 x 200ML per day. some days a L depends on how tired i feel.
Some days i have gone without having ANY! the fact they keep increasing its price helps too.

Will only drink redbull and the like when im driving home and im close to drifting off to sleep.
