Dont quite understand whats happened with the latest gamma 2.0....

All my old trade routes and the rares route id been trying out have dried up, wear and tear is costing me millions and even doing basic hauling jobs off the bulletin board arent working very well, the last 3 ive tried all went **** up when i arrived at the stations and sat for 30mins+ with repeated "docking request denied" these are in out of the way places with very little traffic, but it appears NPC ships get priority for docking slots.

at least with the new build it plots the jumps for you now :D

anyone notice that the stations are busier now, well they are in my neck of the system, have to bloody wait now when leaving a station since always seems to be two to three ships embarking and dont seem to care that i'm in the way.

Personally, my enjoyment of this game has increased ten-fold since I forked out for an X52 ... my aging Logitech wasn't cutting the mustard and it's great to be able to do everything in-flight without touching the keyboard - helps enormously when pulling off fancy docking moves :D

i love my X52 pro i can't justify paying anymore for a higher spec HOTAS for one game either

but is was defiantly a massive difference over a Joypad
 
TM Hotas X has a cable I believe, not massively long either.

If it's an issue grab a TM T16000M and save up for a CH Pro throttle which can be had for less than £75 with patience and importing from the US.

I had the same thing the first time I launched gamma 2.0. Had to force close it and try again, and it worked.

Mind you I have been having trouble all day connecting to the server, most of the time my Start option stays greyed out :(
 
I think ive discovered my problem with "Docking Request Denied" the Lakon Type7 is a large hull class vessel and requires a Large landing dock which the smaller stations either dont have or have fewer of.

Server shutdown in 30mins for Gamma 2.01... hope they fix a lot of issues.

I was just about to fire the game up, I'll wait an hour or so. Thanks for the heads up.

there was a bug for new starts where the Eagle was ages away, they fixed it but it requires a new start. Mine was in the same system I started.
 
I'm getting really tempted by this - and by one of those hotas sticks to play it with. This may be a daft question but the pictures of the sticks I've seen suggest they're not suitable for left-handers?
 
Firstly hi to a very old Horny Beast Ruggers, [HB]Boff here :D

I am left handed but use a HOTAS with joystick in my right hand. Works OK for me but I'm quite dextrous with my right hand so not sure how tough it would be for someone who is very left handed.

You'll definitely struggle using the throttle with your right hand. All the throttle controls are clustered on the right hand side. Stick should be fine with either hand.

Boff!!! :D:D:D

It's been so long since I used a joystick (quickshot on my amiga probably!) that I don't know if I can use my right hand. Bit of an expensive experiment too if I find I can't use it - might just stick with kb/mouse :)
