Will UKIP win its first seat in parliament tonight?

That's the core problem, isn't it?

Car owners are reviled as evil polluters and taxed to perdition without public transport being a viable option unless you live and work in the same large city.

Even then, public transport is expensive, overcrowded and unreliable.

Maybe a political party should address this? They might get a few votes over it.:p

Question Time tonight. Farage V Brand.

I would imagine hat even a few of the Farage antis are quietly hoping he shuts that holier than thou loudmouth up tonight.

Although I would love that to happen, I expect it won't be the case. :( Brand is a nobber and could do with being put in his place, but Farage isn't the sort of person to outwit him.

The problem will be the audience as well. You know the BBC will load it with lefties.

I applied to go on it once you wouldn't believe how complicated the form is, they want to know your politics, your ethnicity, your sexuality none of those should matter.

I don't think Question time would even try and pretend it recruits a representative audience as it's so obvious it's always very left leaning every week.

If your attempting to make a balanced sample then of course it matters the applicants will depend on the show.

If you didn't check any of those things and there was an episode on racism so lots of ethnic minority groups joined then you could end up with am audience come play out of balance.

It's like surveys they ask all that stuff so they can choose a sample that closely represents the actual make up (no point having a study about is homosexuality acceptable when 90% of your sample is guy as it will give the wrong idea about the population)

Did UKIP not bother to check any of her background before offering her a role? I know they struggle to do anything properly but you think that they might be ok on rudimentary hiring practices. Apparently not.

To be fair you could say the same of Labour.

No, he's out of his depth. Plain as day.

It appears confirmation bias is out in force tonight; I thought he was doing rather better than expected. Completely steamrolling Farage.

Blue haired screamy woman letting the side down.

On the other hand, Farage (rhymes with garage) actually managed to say a couple of things I agree. Stopped clocks and all that.
