It's why I'd probably be too scared to order frames/handlebars/wheels from Alibaba and so forth. Obviously there will be manufacturers who are doing scarily good replicas which are basically the same as real parts... but the potential consequences of failures to parts like that are crazy.

Although I'm dubious if he honestly believed he was getting a real part, rather than a knock off one.

Carbon failures seem to be extremely rare in the wild, and there are enough reviews out there to give you comfort you're buying from good sellers.

Brrrrrrr!! Gonna be cold tomorrow morning.

Some of my cycle club are heading out, but personally I think that's a really dumb idea. I wandered round my local area for a bit on foot and its treacherous out there!

An hour on the turbo seems much the better option today unfortunately rather than skidding around on the Cheshire lanes.

I was hoping to get out but yeah, it looks a bit too slippy right now. I'll see how it looks in a few hours I guess.

Gives me more time to make tasty food and get ready to bottle 60 litres of beer anyhow...

A wise move :)

Finally got confirmation of my trip to majorca. Flying out on the 16th dinner and nights stay at some swanky hotel in alcudia then ride with the team on the Sunday! Have got them to book me a return flight on the 24th and booked a hotel up for a week of riding. Really cannot wait now! Need to get a selection of gear to get signed.

Oh dear. I'm not sure that it puts me off though....not quite....the price and specs are just seemingly too good to resist.

I bought a Endurace from them in September time , faultless service IMO came within 3 weeks even gave me a refund as the price had come down half way through the order.

I'd order from them again no question :)

Cut the ride short today. WAY too icy!! We had two crashes and decided it was too dangerous and headed back. Be careful!

On another note, Wiggle don't half annoy me sometimes with their crazy erratic pricing. Something I was looking at has increased in price by £43 overnight.

I realised I had to nip out to a homebrew shop to pick up some bottle caps. Most of the ice had gone at least and I do feel a tiny tiny bit less ill after doing the 18 miles.

I made it out after all. The fog lifted and it got up to 4 degrees so between that and a bit of rain the frost went away. I managed 22 miles. Next week could be trickier if the weather persists in getting worse, though the forecast actually looks quite promising.

I've done over 3,200 outdoor miles this year. I did 3,069 last year, so that's an improvement.

Have the 19th of December until the 5th of January off work so hoping to get some decent miles in, definitely waiting until early afternoon though when it's 'warmed' up a little though before heading out!
