Is there a way to test an ssd?

Ssd life comes back as healthy and windows scan disk found no errors, but in the last few days. Games/windows keep crashing and every time windows reboots it does a scan and repairs the drive.

Yep vertex 3

in CMD type the following

sfc /scannow

will check all windows files for corruption and repair them if it can

Found errors which it couldn't fix. No idea how to translate the log. And the log is absolutely massive.

Now doing an mdsched

if that's the case reboot in safe mode and give it another try.

if all else fails try a repair from the windows 7 CD\DVD if you have 1 to hand.

after that mostprob a re install would be required

sounds like the best option.

backup your steam games to a external drive or to a second HDD and format the OS and re install then download the latest drivers.

hope it sorts out your issues

you have a spare hdd? could install windows to that see if it still crashes?

wouldn't surprise me its faulty if its an ocz ssd though

whats the rest of your components

Not sure this has fixed it, everything taken ages to install.

Alienware m11x r3 so i3 and what ever else it has.

Just installed HD tune to see the speed and after a few seconds it stop and throws up read error.

So ssd broke?

When did you last secure erase the drive? Is it using the latest firmware? Is your motherboard using the latest BIOS? Are you using the latest chipset drivers?
