Ordered my blue 64GB from the Motorola store on Thursday night. It shipped from China on Saturday with estimated delivery date of the 24th.

Well that was a very conservative estimate because it looks like it's out for delivery today!
 
I did that for my Moto X. Followed a good guide on YouTube. Very nerve wracking, particularly as you need to make the sim card thinner with sandpaper but it works fine.
 
Just got an email from amazon telling me that my Nexus 6 won't be here until after Xmas :-( That's after having an original date of the 16th, changed to 24th and now who knows when (they say within 2 weeks so maybe before the New Year, but I doubt it).

Shame as I wanted it for Xmas.

Still, got offered a £20 promo code for Amazon as compensation.

Anyone know how long the Motorola website are taking to get deliveries?

does that app work on none rooted devices because last time i used it, it doesnt and you need root access
 
hmm, just go the notification for an ota update to 5.0.1.

I am rooted though, so should i go ahead with it? i thought i wouldn't be getting the notification anyway?

I don't think rooting stops the notification, but if you try and apply it I think it will just give an error and not update. It's pretty easy to just flash system.img in the bootloader anyway.

OK fair play, I'll do it through the toolkit, just being lazy. Looking for a quick fix.
