I've been npc hunting in Sol. Lovely system. The battlecrusier you can go and see is awesome!
x55 comes today so I'll start doing the training missions and getting to grips with the game then tomorrow I should get my DK2! Can't wait.
Have fun, I recently bought the x55 and I LOVE it. Be warned though, the throttle can be quite stiff to begin with but does loosen up. I also found my joystick to be a little grindy at first in certain directions, that only took a couple of hours though to work itself out and now is silky smooth. So don't panic if you get these symptoms at first!
Stiff even on the loosest setting? I presume you are aware you can change it.
Yes, stiff on the loosest setting (presume your talking about the throttle). I also have the lightest spring in the joy too.
I'm guessing it's no coincidence that the Thrustmaster HOTAS X has gone out of stock within a week of the release of Elite: Dangerous.
Guys I can't for the life of me figure this out.
I took up a mission where I needed to engage a few ships to find a black box. Easy peasy I thought. However it appears to be stupidly hard for me puny brain to figure out.
I jump to the destination and without turning off the jump drive (?!) I can see contacts quite easily. However whenever I fly towards one I can never judge it right to drop out ontop of them.
Instead I press J and although i'm close before, there are no contacts in sight.
Any ideas?
I've not done those missions but I assume they work like USS points?Guys I can't for the life of me figure this out.
